Melanie Kim
Melanie, a 18 year old idol/model, born in australia but raised in a canada. Let's say that melanie grew up in a pretty interesting way, she lived with her parents and her two siblings but that ended when her parents got divorced and her dad moved out with her two siblings. Since then she wasn't really close with anyone untill she met Jack, her bestfriend since she was 6. They did everything together and always did sleepovers. She knew everything about him and he knew everything about her, they promised eachother to always stay together and to tell nobody their secrets.
Mel always had a big interest in music, she loved dancing and also fell inlove with singing. She did it all the time.. even so much that people got sick of her and started telling her stuff that she was annoying and that she needs to shut up. So she decided to stop and just stay quiet, because of this people at school found her pretty intimidating and thought she was mean when she wasn't even close to that. Her visuals didn't help either, people always seem to think that pretty visuals make people mean when that isn't even true. She slowly started to open up a bit more to people again and get to know them, that's how she met brook and lia at the age of 9
After a few years she knew that her passion for music never stopped and that she still wanted to make a career out of it. She decided to become a trainee and to go on a survival show called 'produce 101' where she eventually debuted in the girlgroup I.O.I. She loved every second of it, even the ups and downs, except the biggest down.. the fact that she had to disband after a year of being active. But this didn't stop her, she decided to try again and now debuted again in the girlgroup weki meki!
Brooklyn Shin
Brooklyn Shin is a 19 year old Korean-Canadian idol born and raised in Canada with her two parents and her brother, Nick. Her mom was always working multiple jobs to make sure they had enough for clothes and food. Brook and Nick would always play with each other, as the best of friends.
Besides her brother, Brook didn't have many friends. But even with the small amount of friends she had, she had 2 who she loved dearly: Lia and Kate. She met Kate when she and her were toddlers and they were practically inseparable and had each others side no matter what. She had met Lia when she was 5 and were at a McDonalds play place. They introduced themselves and became best friends.
She had 2 best friends (+ her brother) who she felt happy withThat was until she was 9, when she met her now best friend, Melanie. They met at the park and became best friends immediately. Brook would tell Melanie basically everything. Melanie had another friend she loved, Jack. She introduced Brook to him and they became friends.
As Brook became older, she had a strong passion for music, and wanted to be a k-pop idol. While at a GOT7 fansign with her friend Levi, she got scouted by a JYP agent. She started practicing and became a trainee under JYP Entertainment. A few years later she became a member of Itzy with the stage name Ryujin. Just having a comeback, she is in one of the most popular 4th gen ggs.
Jack Sohn
Jack is a 18 year old boy who is known to be very indepented maybe even seen as cold? He tends to keep to himself due to his traumatizing childhood. Jack grew up in a small town with his two parents. He was an only child who always wanted a sibling or two. Up until the age of 7, things were going almost perfect for him. He had his two loving parents and his bestfriend Melanie by his side always making him smile.
A year later when Jack turned 8, things started escalating quickly. One day when Jack was coming home from school, Jack found his father cheating on his mother. Jack felt many emotions that he couldn't explain. As soon as his mother came home from work, he ran to her telling every single bit of what he witnessed. As he was telling his mother, Jack noticed that his mom didn't seem to have any reaction. After Jack finished, his mother slapped him across the face. She then collected her items and walked out the door. Jack was more confused than ever. He had a bunch of unanswered questions filling his head. At first he was sure he was doing the right thing, but he then started to question his decision.
Things just got worse for Jack and his parents. Both of his parents started to physically AND mentally abuse him.Eventually he started showing up with bruises at school, which obviously didn't get unnoticed by the teachers and his bestfriend. The school found out after a while what jacks home situation was. Jack was livid and hurt, confused why his own parents would do it to him but in some kind of way also glad people found out and he finally could get help after being to scared to tell anyone. Melanie and her mom decided it was the best if he would move in with them, so he did. Since then the two became even more inseperable and Melanie promised to never let him get hurt like that again.
Katelyn Yontararak
Katelyn whos now 18 years old, is born in Thailand but raised in Canada. She has a younger sister minnie who she really dearly loves. Growing up, Katelyn and her younger sister Minnie lived in poverty with their abusive and neglectful parents. Despite being only a year apart, Katelyn had to take on the role of a parent to Minnie and do everything in her power to provide for her and protect her. Katelyn would work multiple odd jobs after school and on weekends, leaving her with little time for herself or a normal childhood. She made sure Minnie had enough to eat, was dressed properly, and was safe from their parents' wrath. Even though her bestfriend Brook wanted to help her, she wanted to fix this on her own, for her and her sister.
Despite the hardships, Katelyn had a passion for singing and acting and would often perform at local events, church gatherings, and even on the streets to earn extra money. Her raw talent and determination caught the attention of a talent scout, who offered her the opportunity to audition for a prestigious performing arts school. Her bestfriend Brook told her to take the opportunity and go audition knowing how much Katelyn wants it.
Katelyn jumped at the chance, as it was her dream to become a famous singer and provide a better life for her and Minnie. She worked tirelessly, pouring all her energy and emotions into her performances. Eventually, she became a well-known and successful Idol/actor, with a large following and numerous accolades to her name.
However, the trauma from her childhood continued to haunt her. Despite her success, Katelyn felt alone and overwhelmed, and struggled with depression and anxiety. She often felt like a fraud, as if she didn't deserve the fame and fortune that had come her way. Throughout all of this, Katelyn refused to let her personal struggles affect her public image. She continued to work hard, dedicating her performances to Minnie and using her platform to raise awareness about the effects of child abuse. Through her success, Katelyn hoped to one day be able to provide a better life for her sister and be a source of hope and inspiration to others who have suffered similar experiences.
