No one knows why she does it, she doesn't know herself why. All she knows is that she needs the space, the space to be far away from her loved ones. This is what Melanie does, every few months sometimes even every few weeks she packs her bags and leaves to an entirely different country. She never tells her loved ones till she arrived, she knows they would stop her or want to go with her. But she can't have that, she has to go for her own good. Most of the time she goes to her home country, Australia. She goes there to spend time with her sister.
"Hey little kid, missed me?" Melanie says to her little sister, well not so little anymore but Melanie doesn't care. She gets inside the house and puts her bags down to hug her sibling.
"Ugh Melanie, i told you so many times to not call me that!" She says while rolling her eyes but still walking to her sister to hug her.
"Like i care... How have u been Anji?" Melanie messes up Anji's hair and goes to the kitchen to grab something to eat.
"Good till you came obviously, but how about you?" She says while following Melanie to the kitchen.
"Oh shut up you love me!" She softly pushes Anji before she continues "But i'm fine."
"Right.. that's why you're here" She frowns. She knows Melanie only comes around when she feels like it, when she needs to. She might not spend a lot of time with her sister, but she knows her very well.
"I told you! I love to travel, can't i come visit my own family?" Melanie responds while eating her apple. "Also your school ended, i didn't want you to be all alone on your break"
Right like Anji would believe that.
Anji was about to say something before she was interrupted by Melanie's phone being spammed with messages and calls. Melanie grabs the phone "Oh hold up, it's kate." She sighs before pressing the answer button "Here we go again"
Melanie walks to a different room. "Kate i'm fine i swear, i just went to visit my sib- yes i know i should've told- Kate no u couldn't have gone with me and brook couldn't either." And that's how it goes every few months.
She doesn't know why, but she always has a urge to just leave everything behind and start over again. But she knows she can't do that, she loves them too much. It's just the stress she doesn't love, being surrounded by people all day, having to be careful because of her job. She sick of it. SHE JUST NEEDS SPACE!
