Osaka slowly opened her eyes to see that she was back in her bed in the hotel room. She sat up and tried to recall what had happened during the past few hours.
"God... it must have been a horrible dream." she said. "Was it a dream?"
She felt unsure of almost everything now.
Her brain felt like it was throbbing inside her skull, with flashes of pain that came and quickly went.
Osaka stood up and walked into the bathroom, turning on the lights to see herself in the mirror.
Her eyes grew wide when she noticed a large wound on her neck, from where the needle had punctured it.
Pain flooded through her head as the memories of what had happened hours earlier returned.
Osaka gripped the bathroom countertop as hard as she could.
"Anika... why her?" she thought. "Why is this happening to me?"
Osaka began to feel herself losing consciousness. Things started to get darker and darker, until she collapsed to the floor.

"Hey! Wake up!"
A loud, annoying voice rang through her ears.
Osaka raised her hand up to block the sunlight from getting in her eyes.
Tomo and Kagura were standing over her.
"Oh good, you're not dead!" Tomo said, laughing.
Kagura gave her a light push for her slightly inappropriate joke.
Osaka was still trying to make sense of what had happened, her mind still so cloudy.
"Anika's dead." she said, staring blankly at the wall.
"Who's Anika?" Tomo replied.
"What do you mean 'who's Anika'? Chiyo introduced us to her yesterday, and that when she went missing. This morning she was shot right in front of us..."
Tomo and Kagura both had very confused expressions on their faces.
"Osaka, did you hit your head or something?" Kagura asked. "You seem to be acting a little crazy."
"We didn't see anyone get shot this morning. Tomo and I just woke up."
Osaka's expression became one of horror, and slight disgust. She looked down at the floor.
"I saw it... I swear. God..."
Kagura left the bathroom. Tomo stayed behind, seemingly interested in what Osaka had to say.
Tomo bent down and tried to talk to her.
"So this Anika... you're saying you saw someone kill her?" Tomo asked.
"Yes, I know for certain it wasn't a dream. I remember I got a phone call telling me to come to the back alley behind the hotel, and Anika was there trying to tell me something. Before she could finish, someone shot her, and then the last thing I remember is someone stuck me in the neck with a needle. Then I woke up back here."
"Look."
Osaka pointed to the puncture wound on her neck.
Tomo's eyes widened.
"You weren't kidding..." she said. "Who else knows about this?"
"You're the first I've told. You and Kagura were there, I swear to God..."
Osaka's eyes drifted to Tomo's neck. Sure enough, she had the same wound.
"Tomo, look in the mirror at your neck."
