"termination letter?" He asked confused.
"tum teeno ka" maya answered.
"Bharosa chute to aadmi toot jata hai, aur aadmi tooty to bharosa choot jata hai." She said again.
"Dekho-" He was trying to say something while maya interrupted.
"mai ne kaha tha arjun, mujhe ghlti manzoor hai lkn be-imaani nai, aur mere office mai beer pee k tumne be-imaani ki hai, tumhe kia laga tha, k tumhare naye dost apni ye purani adaten chordenge? kuch adaten kabhi nai chut ti, unhe todna parta hai." She said while leaning on her desk.
"Dekho maya jo kuch hua hai mujhse hua hai inki koi ghlti ni hai, inko chordo mujhe nikal do" He stood up explaining.
"be-imaani teeno n ki hai to saza bhi teeno ko milegi" she said resting her back on her seat, rocking it sideways.
"please maya inki koi ghlti nai hai inko chordo tumhe jo saza deni hai mujhko dedo please." He said calmly.
"Apni aur inki nokri bachana chahty ho to tab tak beer pio jab tak m tumhari ghlti na bhul jaun aur mujhe yad rhe to sirf tumhara desperation. Save your job" She replied calmly.
Arjun was tensed and he started looking here and there.
"Pio." She ordered.
He glanced at the employees and then looked at maya, who then eye-gestured him to drink. He started drinking 1 bottle , then 2 then 3 and then soon finished 5 bottles. His legs lost balance and he sat down drunk infront of maya, while trying hard to keep his eyes open but he drank the last bottle which was 6th, and then he passed out on the table as soon as he finished it. Maya took the envelope and discarded into the paper destroyer and left the meeting room.
"Arjun...arjun.." The employees tried to wake him up but it was of no use, he remained passed out.
scene changes.
Arjun was passed out on his bed. Saanjh spills a bucket of water on arjun, while he woke up with a jerk.
"Saanjh kia krrhi ho tum?" He said still sleepy.
"Limit ki bhi limit hoti hai, itna kon peeta hai yar?." She was now yelling.
"pi nai pilayi gayi thi" He said calmly.
"Acha?, lkn start to tune kia tha na office mai beer pee k, yar office mai beer kon peeta hai?" She left his room while saying this.
"yar wo to" He said.
"Chup ek dum chup, kuch mat bolna, tune mujhe maya ko lekr kitna daraya tha, lkn wo aisi bilkul bhi nai thi" Both came in lounge and arjun sat on chair and saanjh took out first aid kit from drawer.
"dekh agr mai nahi peeta wo sabko job se nikal deti" He said in sleepy voice.
Saanjh took a pain killer and dissolved it in water and handed it to him.
"to nikal jata na wese bhi tujhe maya achi nai lagti hai" She said.
"Achi nai lgti mtlb? mai thodi na aise haar maan jata usse, uske aur mere bich m kuch bhi hojaye hmesha m hi jeetunga , main" He said sleepy and confidently.
"Dusky, is maya ki na kuch setting krni pregi" He said and again passed out on the table.
Saanjh was watching him irritatedly.
scene changes
Maya is lighting up an oil lamp in her home which was kept infront of ganpati statue, which did not lit up with first matchstick, she lighted another matchstick, still no use, tears welled up in her eyes.
