Meghan gets kidnapped by Shawn Mendes after being freed from One Direction 's house. She and her friends go on a date with him, and she's forced into a relationship with Shawn. They eventually break up, but she later returns to One Direction to see them perform in New York.
The band is performing at The Gramercy Tavern, where she meets up with the band members. Meghan then gets attacked by one of them, and they are taken to the hospital. Shawn is arrested for assault after the attack, which he denies.
He is released from jail after his mother, who is a lawyer, agrees to represent him. Later, she tells him that she is going to get him a job at the Gram. However, he is fired from his job after he gets drunk and hits his boss.
