Saving the Sleeping Angel [ON HOLD]

Prologue: The Aftermath

When the smoke and dust clears, a girl is revealed. She is standing all alone.

Then she notices a body.

The girl releases an anguished cry and darts toward the body. She collapses next to it.

"Angel, I swear that I'll free you from the curse. I promise. Pinky swear, anything. I promise, with the gods as my witness, that I'll free you," wails the dark haired girl. "I promise Angel, I won't let you down."

The other girl remains frozen.

The girl starts to cry harder. "Angel, wake up. Angel, please. I need you, I really do. I can't do this alone!"

Nothing happens.

The girl wipes her eyes and stands up. "Come on, Angel," she says sadly. "Let's get you to bed." She waves her hand, and the blond girl's body lifts up and floats in the air.

The dark haired girl starts talking. "Remember when we decided to learn how to fly? We jumped off the staircase and almost killed ourselves. But that's when we discovered my powers. Telekinesis. I just-in a panic, I reached out and grabbed your body, then mine. I never told you how it felt. But it was terrifying. And you're heavy, Angel."

She smiles at her sleeping sister. "You started kicking and screaming. It was hilarious."

The dark haired girl's smile fades and she releases a long sigh. "Oh Angel. What am I going to do?"
