Chapter 6: Mutiny

Jack lit a candle illuminating himself and the crew as they gathered around below deck.

"The topic, gentlemen, is mutiny. Mutiny most foul." Jack announced.

"Aye. I signed up to sail under Jack Sparrow, not some pretender." A crewman agreed.

"And a lady at that."

"And mention was failed to be made of this uncanny crew." Another added.

"Make my toes curl, they do."

"I got 'em." A young boy said, placing a handful of swords on the table. "All of 'em."

"Well done. On to it, then. Blackbeard. What are his habits?" Jack asked.

"Stays mostly to his cabin." Scrum answered.

The other crewmen nodded in agreement.

"Yes, but when he comes out..." Jack specified.

"He don't really come out." The kid said.

"He must come out sometime."

The crewmen all murmured and shook their heads.

"Any of you sail with him before?" Jack asked.

The crew all shook their heads again.

"Any of you seen him before?"

Once again, they all shook their heads.

"Stays to his cabin, no one sailed with him, no one's seen him..." Jack listed. "Good news gentlemen. This is not Blackbeard's ship. This is not the Queen Anne's Revenge." He announced.

"No, this be the Queen Anne's Revenge, right enough." Scrum disagreed.

"How do you know?" Jack asked him.

"I've seen the name on the back of the ship." He answered as if it was obvious.

Jack rolled in eyes in annoyance but continued talking. "Gentlemen, sirs, fellow conscriptees...you have been monstrously deceived."

"We are decepted then?" A crewman asked.

"Yes. You've nay been informed of a destination. Death lies before us as we sail for the Fountain of Youth." Jack revealed.

The crew gasped in shock.

"It would be a sorry plight, mates. Unless...we take the ship." Jack suggested.

Scrum suddenly pulled his sword out, and stabbed it onto the table. "We take the ship then, now!"

He got up and ran off, while the crew watched him, and then turned to Jack.

He waved his hands at them. "Go on then."

The crew all got up and shouted as they charged through the ship, waking up the rest of the crew and handing out swords.
