Chapter 8

Myandri's POV

"So you're telling me that your short ass nails did this!?"

I huffed as the seventh person asked me the same question AGAIN. Apparently I lost too much blood when my 'wolf' nail-....er? Claws sliced the back of my neck in four deep gashes as long as your middle finger, I guess I stared at my recently 4 inch claws that was dripping in blood too long and I passed out. Carmen found me soon enough and freaked out, blah blah blah she called everybody, ambulance came blah blah blah I ended up in the hospital and now here I am sitting on the edge of the bed staring intensely at my ratchet ass doctor who is currently trying to figure out how in the world I got this cut.

But to my rescue Frank came in busting through the door and cutting the doctor off in mid sentence.

"Is she okay?!?!" His gaze stayed on the doctors until he saw me through his peripheral vision wave at him, his eyes slowly flickered towards me, I could visually see his contracted muscles relax, then he casually scanned my body to see any bruises but stopped on my neck. His eyes widened at the sight of my bandage that was partly covered in blood, but just decided to let whatever he was feeling go and gave me a slight nod of the head silently to say 'I'm glad your okay' in his weird little version. "You're lucky she's still here"

Our heads snapped from our little silent-eye-conversation and towards the doctor whose glasses were hanging off the tip of his long nose, he was writing something down in his little notepad, not noticing the very intense glare Frank was giving him at the moment.

"What's that supposed to mean?" Frank asked with a stern tone in his voice

Doc lifted her head up, looking at me first then switched her gaze towards Frank. Bad choice.

His stone hard glare along with his features made her flinch slightly, not long before she lifted up her full hands in the air in an 'no offense' matter.

"Look" she sighed looking at me for a split second "all I'm trying to say is that she lost alotta blood and if her nail went just one inch towards the vain on her neck POP" she made a expression with her hands but stopped when she saw that none of us were amused "now she wouldn't of died immediately....but because of how long she stood there without immediate medical attention" she sighed softly before walking up to Frank and putting a hand on his shoulder, not noticing the way he tensed uncomfortably under her touch.

"Yeah she would've died"

No Ones POV

Nina shuffled quietly down the long spiral stairs and into the kitchen, she then leapt up in mid-air then went back down on the ground and rolled into the foyer. Staying on her toes she crouched down then started running into the living room, not long before her eyes saw the door behind the love seat at the back of the living room and right beside the grand window.

Bingo.

She scanned her surrounding once more befor making a dash towards the door, dodging remotes, jumping over tables, and jump-rolling over couches. She finally made it there, she pressed her back against the tall wooden door. Glancing up, her eyes scanned the bold black arial letters, not long before she read it out.

'FRANK'S OFFICE - NO MINORS'

Breathing out softly she turned the knob slowly, hearing the soft 'CLICK' in the door.

Once she had it fully open she stepped in carefully, this was her first time EVER being in the office; except for when she first came here. Blowing a strong breathe upwards towards her forehead, resulting in her short bangs to fly out of her face. But once she looked up, she was awe-struck. To the back of the wall was a huge window that went wall to wall, at the end of each side of the window was long, royal blue, satin drapes that was handing on a long dark wood rod. On the left wall was a floor to ceiling bookshelf and on the right wall was the same as the left. Looking behind her shoulder she used her feet to kick the door close, then she walked up towards the bookshelf. Then running the tips of her fingers lightly over the thick books, then something sharp pricked her skin. Yelping quietly she retracted her finger and quickly stuck it in her mouth, using her eyes she scanned the book that poked her finger.

Once she found it she scanned the perimeter, then she took the book out of it's original place. She had to be careful though because the edges were spikes sticking outta them, she slid off the straps of her nike backpack. Placing in right under the book, huffing loudly while she struggled to get the book in her backpack, while the sunlight blinded her in the process. Once she got it in there she zipped it up snugly then slung the now heavy bag onto her back, she then quietly tip-toed out Frank's office to go investigate the book.
