At a bar, a man named Rick Jones was drinking. He was tired of getting turned down by the avengers for being a ticking time bomb. When was going to be his time. On the news he saw that a Stadium that was having Dazzler on concert was under attack by Dr. Doom. Maybe this was this was his chance. Maybe this was his chance to be a hero like his mentor and friend Bruce Banner who was the Hulk. He takes his last drink and grabs his keys. He runs to his car and gets on his car. He starts driving as fast as he could go.
As he was driving, a flash before his eyes he remembered he was with his girlfriend and friends playing truth or dare he drives up to where Bruce was working on gamma testing. It was hazy how it happened. Bruce became some creature and Rick absorb some of the gamma. After awhile Bruce and Rick was on the run together but eventually Bruce parted ways with rick for his safety. But when the Avengers emerged he tried to join by Tony and Bruce always said no.
He makes a right turn and was almost at the stadium he could see the heroes trying to breaking into the stadium. He knew right then this was his chance. He parks his car and runs to the heroes begins helping opening the doors. There was some kind of force shield around them.
