The clouds we're grey as raindrops started to fall from the sky. A certain goopy skeleton looked out the window in his office as he stared as each drop slid on the window. Everything in his view was all the same, always that same shade of grew. Everything just seemed so dull in his eyes and he couldn't help but feel.....

He didn't know what he felt honestly. It was a feeling that was eating him alive every second of every day. Soon he heard a knock on the door and looked over at the door. "Come in" His voice was chilling and cold, it would strike fear to the other workers in this department.

The door opened to reveal a skeleton with blank eyes as black tar like goop flowed out of it like never ending tears. The dark skeleton rested his elbow on his desk and rested his cheek on his palm as he tilted his head. "What is it that you want, Killer?"

"Finished paperwork and new employees coming documents, you really should check the new employees coming Nightmare" He gave a lazy grin as he placed them down on the desk. Nightmare, the big boss of this company, opened the files and started to skim through it. He soon checked the employee files and stared at them boredly before he stopped at the last file, staring at it.

It showed an image of a white boned skeleton, with heterochromia eyes one red and one white. A red lightning scar right under his eye. He had a soft smile on his face and his features we're soft but he was also quite handsome even adorable.

Nightmare hummed as he stared at the file. "Hm....Cross..... interesting". "I know right? He's a little cutie" Killer grinned as he stared at the file. The black boned skeleton just closed the file. He did not care for such little things like that nor did he care if their employees were attractive or not, as long as they good at their job then their hired.

A few days passed and Nightmare had schedule a meeting with Cross. The monochrome skeletons file resting on his desk as Nightmare tapped his pen on the table as Killer stood by his side, whistling boredly as he looked around Nightmare's office.

Nightmare's tentacle twitched in annoyance. "He's late" Nightmare uttered in between grit teeth. He wasn't really a fan of workers being late, he absolutely despised tardiness. "Could be traffic- Dust just texted me that he's stuck in traffic to-"

Knock

Knock

KNOCK

The two looked over at the door at such an aggressive knock. Nightmare gave the signal for them to come in and the door swung open to reveal a very tired skeleton, smaller than the two in the room. It was that employee named Cross.

He was panting and sweating, looking as if he ran a marathon.

"Hah....hah....S-Sorry I'm late! It was traffic and I had to run the rest of the way here so I wouldn't be any later-"

The two blinked before Killer couldn't help but snort a little and Nightmare glared at him, making immediately behave and look away. So he technically did run a marathon.

Cross cleared his throat and fixed himself up a bit after he caught his breath. He soon sat down on the chair in front of them, a determined look on his face. The goopy skeleton was amused by his actions, usually they cower in fear before him but not him.

Soon Cross started to tell him what he can and can't do and his strengths and weaknesses, answering the questions with no hesitation at all and even showed him examples of his past works. Nightmare was amazed at how prepared he was and how efficient he was, despite his terrible first impression he was very reliable. Killer on the other hand was just looking him up and down, taking in every detail of him.
