I hear a scream. I bolt upright and look around wildly. I see a blurry image of someone in front of me screaming.
"Gabriel?" I ask.
He stirs next to me. The person in front of me keeps screaming. Two more figures rush into the room.
"What is it?" one asks.
A man.
"A ghost!" the screaming woman says, "I saw a ghost in Gabriel's bed!"
By this time Gabriel is awake and looking at his mother stupidly.
"I told you she was real!" his little sister, Emily, says looking at me.
Gabriel looks at me and then looks around as if I'm not there.
"I don't see anything," he mumbles, "You must be hallucinating, now go back to sleep."
His mother nods and exits the room with Emily. Gabriel's father stays.
"I see you," he says looking at me.
He walks over and reaches out. His hand passes through me harmlessly and I gasp. He cannot touch me.
"A ghost, wow!" he says facinated.
"Dad! Your making my girlfriend nervous!" Gabriel complains.
Hang on, girlfriend? Oh, okay. Gabriel's father chuckles and exits the room. Gabriel puts his arm back around me and I fall asleep in his arms thinking about how he called me his girlfriend.

It's Saturday and Gabriel and I are going for a walk.
"Jayden?" he asks me.
"Yah?" I ask turning to face him.
"Have you met other ghosts?" he asks.
I have actually seen other ghosts but have never talked to them.
"Seen em before, some are scary though," I tell him.
"Have you ever seen an old lady near my house?" he asks.
"No, why?" I ask.
"Nevermind."
I look at him curiously. Old lady? Old lady....oh god. Old lady! His grandmother probably!
"She's probably in Montréal wondering where all of you are," I say.
Wrong thing to say.
"She moved here with us," Gabriel says, "She died the day after we arrived."
I gulp.
"I'm so sorry," I say.
"It's okay."
A few people look at Gabriel weirdly as we walk down the street.
"Um..." I begin, "Maybe we should go somewhere private where people don't think you're crazy."
Gabriel laughs and nods. We walk over to the park and sit down under a tree in the shade.
"Oh my god babe! Is it really you?" a voice squeels.
A girl comes running over and stands in front of us.
"Oh my god Gaby baby!!! It is you!!!" she says throwing her arms around Gabriel.
He hugs her back hesitantly. She pulls back and smiles widely. She obviously doesn't see me.
"God I've missed you! My family is here for vacation and I came too! I'm attending school here until we go back to Montréal!" the girl says.
