So without preparation other than the practice kids room we did before, you went to the dude and did a dramatic stare and nod with your hands on your hips and said "I'm ready." The dude nodded back and asked if there's anything you need to know before going on this long race. (Also I just realised I put the wrong number it's not 5 hours long it's TEN. WITH NO STOPPING FOR BREAKS.)

So yeah you about to do this 10 hour long challenge full of dangerous shit with no breaks for food or water or because you're exhausted 😃

I started crying and gave you a massive hug because we knew even though there was a death penalty for not doing the race you could also die whilst doing it. So yeah we said a bunch of lovey Dovey best friend stuff incase you died 😘

so you had to put like the uniform on that you had to wear to do the race and it was brightly coloured and sparkly glittery pizzazz and you had to wear brown wolf or cat ears? The clothes did not match the occasion at all 💀 But you said they were really comfy and stretchy which will make it easier to complete the course. So you got your shit together and we were both sobbing as we gave each other one last hug (I can't remember If you hugged your mum but she was basically an NPC so it doesn't rly matter ig)

So you went to the bright yellow starting line and gave the dude a nod. "I LOVE YOU STAN!! " I yelled across the room through a bunch of ugly sobs. "I Love you jazzy" you said back with a smile. We looked at each other one last time before you gave the dude a thumbs up. He started counting down, giving you time to breathe. You weren't gonna have any breaks. He counted down from 60, giving you one minute to mentally prepare yourself. I stayed quiet, knowing that I didn't want to interrupt. It felt like the longest minute ever, But it finally came down to the last few seconds. It was time. " 3... 2... 1.... GO!"
