All the girls had left and it was just me and leah left in our room. I got myself ready for bed and headed into the kitchen to grab a drink, Leah was in there but didn't look up from her phone when i came in. I exit the kitchen with my drink and sit on the edge of our bed and start to scroll on Netflix for something to watch. As i climb into bed, leah appears in the doorway, wearing her pyjama pants and a black sports bra. My eyes meet hers and then slowly fall to her stomach, "can you stop staring," leah says grabbing the cover and climbing into bed."I wasn't staring, don't know what you're talking about," i add, turning my head to face her. Our faces are now centimetres away from each other, a small smile starts to grow on her face and her eyes fall to my lips. "For someone who hates me, you are very close to my face," i say with a smirk on my face, which made Leah pull away slightly. "I never said it was a bad thing," i whispered, putting my hand on her knee. She places her hand on my cheek and begins to rub her thumb against my cheek. We held eye contact for what felt like a life time, before she tucked a piece of my hair behind my ear and pulled my face towards hers. "I really don't think we hate each other anymore," she whispered, letting out a slight laugh. Her lips met mine and our lips found each other's rhythm, her kiss was gentle as if she was scared to let go. I deepen our kiss by slipping my tongue into her mouth, which she reciprocated and it felt like our tongues were battling for dominance. She bites my lip softly, and i let out a slight moan, my heart begins to flutter and i feel a slight tingle tun down the back of my spine. Her hand moves to the back of my neck and she kisses me like she doesn't want to let go of me. As i pull away, leah whispers " didn't expect that from you G," "I really do offer surprises," i giggle resting my head on her shoulder. We both just stare into each others eyes before realising the time, "we should probably get some sleep," I say to Leah, "probably it's already late," leah replied. As i turn the bedside light off, leah's arm slips around my waist and she pulls me gently towards her, nestling her face into the back of my neck.
I woke up to my alarm buzzing away on the side table. I turn over to turn it off and as i turn back i realise the bed is empty, Leah wasn't there. I grab my phone and send her a message asking where she was. We had training today so i quickly jumped in the shower and headed down to breakfast. As i walk through the doors to enter the canteen, i notice leah sat in the corner by herself, her head buried into her phone. I grab my food and sit down with Georgia, "G i need to tell you something," i say, "but you can't say a word to anyone," i add in a stern voice. "Okay, what is it?" Georgia replies. "Me and leah kissed," i say hiding my face in my hands, Georgias mouth drops open, "what the fuck, you're lying! I thought you hated each other," Georgia says still shocked, "So did i G," i reply, "but she fell asleep cuddling me the other night and then last night we just kissed. But when i woke up this morning, she wasn't there, i feel like she's avoiding me." i reply looking over at Leah who is now chatting with Keira. "Maybe she's scared," Georgia suggests, "i mean it's a big change in your relationship, one second you hate each other, the next your kissing." I nod in agreement with Georgia and tell her I'm heading back to my room to get ready for training. I change into my training kit, grab my boots and head down to the pitch. As i'm walking i feel someone place their arm around my shoulder, i could recognise that hand anywhere. I turn my head slowly and smile at leah, "ready for training?" she asks, "always am skipper," i laugh, nudging her. As we walk over to the changing rooms, Leah still has her arm around me, Keira gives me a look of confusion and i nod my head to imply we will talk later. I put my boots on and start to walk over to the field before Rach runs behind me and jumps on my back nearly knocking me to the floor. "What was all that about before, you and leah?" Rach asks poking me in the shoulder. "Don't know what you're talking about," i reply with a small smirk on my face, "hmmm okay, whatever you say," Rach laughs, running off to join the rest of the girls. Throughout training, i could feel leah staring at me but as soon as i turned around, she looked away. As always, we didn't go together when we had to partner up, but i thought maybe this time we would, as i stood with Millie, Leah smiled at me sadly as she walked over to partner with Jordan.
Leah and Jordan used to be together for around 2 years, so i was a little worried when they partnered up. The whole session i could hear them laughing, which made me think of they still had feelings for each other. I push that thought to the back of my mind and try to focus on training, as we had a match the next day against the Netherlands. After about an hour, training had finished and we all headed back to the changing rooms, me and leah were the last in there but we didn't mutter a word to each other. I was still hung up on the thought of her and Jordan but i felt like it wasn't the time to bring it up. As i go to leave and meet up with a few of the girls, Leah stops me and asks quietly, "G, can we talk later?" "About what," i reply acting dumb, "You know, about us and what happened," she replies with her cheeks turning a light shade of pink. "okay, see you in the room later then?" i say, pushing the door to leave, "Sounds good," leah replies smiling at me.
