I was about to go to my classroom, and the professor said she was going to be sick and not be able to go to class today. I decided to stop by my locker to get a book that I could read while waiting.

As usual, I sat in the corner of the room. And my classmates we're loud enough to be heard by the next two rooms next to us. God they we're good at giving people head aches just by listening to them.

"You guys done making enough noise?" Our class president, Ann Yujin spoke up. You could clearly see how annoyed this girl was, and I don't blame her. They we're a nuisance to the human ear and eye.

They instantly went silent as if the principal had come in and scolded them for being so loud.

"Thank you. " Yujin said, in an annoyed tone.

"Does that girl really think she can boss us around just because she's the president? " One of the girls said, Yujin definitely heard it as she really looked pissed.

"Excuse me but, I have the right to put you guys in your place when you aren't be having well. Also, you aren't an officer and you aren't the president. I am, so you follow my orders. "

Yujin was cold to other people a lot, but when she was with people she was close to. Damn she's like a maniac.

"Thank you, now kindly shut your mouth before I shut it for you, Dayeon." I said to her, in a slightly angered tone.

"Pfft, you think you can beat me? You, Kang Haerin?"

"If it means a physical fight yes, if it means getting a relationship I'll kindly pass. "

"Pfft, you can't even get a relationship and you dare to challenge me?"

"Relationships barely even last anyways, you can't even get a boyfriend yourself."

"You only have one night stands in a bar, you get drunk and the next day you have a guy over you. "

"KANG HAERIN!!" She yelled my name.

"What, I'm literally at the back I can clearly hear you idiot. "

"What do you even want?"

"I want you, to shut the fuck up."

"Hm, what if I don't?"

"You'll regret it everyday."

"Hm, I'll pass. I don't wanna look stressed nor stupid when I come to school. "

And we just stood in silence, we had no professors this week but we still had our curricular activities to handle.

But, just then a girl went in the room with a beaming smile that was actually kinda cute.

"Good morning, Rei!" She said to one of our classmates.

"Morning." Well I guess she was tired or something.

And she happily sat in her seat next to me.

"So.. What are you studying?"

"Hm, I'm not studying, I'm just reading a book. "

"Oh, what's the plot of it?"

"Well, the main character is a girl, she's like a sunshine. Her pairing is also female, she's a monster. Yet good looking from what I've read. "

"Ah, really? That sounds quite interesting. "

"And there's a guy who has a crush on the main character, the monster was always with her in her human form so.. I guess he's close to death."

"The guy is definitely dying today. Or tomorrow. "

"Seems like it. "

We read the book, and she smiled whenever she saw the monster protecting the girl. It was like she wanted a relationship like that.

"What are you guys even doing? Are you guys dating?"

"Reading, and no we aren't."

"What's the problem with two people getting along and reading together? Hm?"

"Well, your faces are really close. Almost like you guys are
kissing."

"Well since we don't have two books, one will do."

"Alright, I thought you guys we're making out right then and there. "
And we continued reading, and I saw her poking my shoulder.

"Hm? What is it?"

"What's your name by the way? I never got it."

"Kang Haerin, you can just call me Haerin."

"Pham Hanni, you can me Hanni. "

"Nice to meet you, Hanni. "

"Nice to meet you too Haerin. "

"YUJINNIE!!!!!"

"Wonyoungie don't shout, you might wake up some of the students that are sleeping darling."

"Oh, sorry but where's Rei and Liz??"

"Over there probably reading or on their phones. "

"Girls, what are you doing?"

"I was on my phone. "

"Same."

"Let's go. It's lunch now."

"Hanni, you wanna eat with me?"

"Yeah sure! Can we just eat here though? It's really loud in the cafeteria. "

"Sure, that's what I was gonna ask you. "

"Let's eat!"

We kept chatting as we ate, and we came upon the subject of relationships, and our thoughts about them.

"Have you ever been in a relationship Haerin?"

"No, not even one. I used to live in the country side and I never really had friends growing up considering I'm a quiet person. "

"Ah, I see.. "

"Have you been in one Hanni?"

"No, not either. I'm friendly but not to that extent. "

"Not to the extent that I'd go to a bar just to wake up in a man's bed. Bleh!"

"Seems you're uninterested in men, are you lesbian?"

"I'm bi, you?"

"Hm, I guess you could say I'm lesbian. "

"I've never been interested in men. "

"Makes sense, I'm only bi since I had a small crush on my childhood best friend. But not anymore. "

"Ah, I see."

"Do you have a nickname Haerin?"

"Yeah, I do. It's hae-hae or rin. "

"Why the fuck are your nickname so cute?!"

"What are yours Hanni?"

"Han."

"That kinda sounds like bread. "

"I know. It reminds me of my favorite breads. "

"What your number by the way, Haerin?"

"Here."

We exchanged phone numbers, and just like that. I got the phone number of a friend on my first day of uni. Holy shit I'm lucky.

She changed my name into "rin-rin" I found it quite cute. I changed hers to "Bread lover han" she laughed at it. But it was true.

"Quite cute. "

"Yeah, I know. "

And that's where lunch ended. We just sat in our seats and cleaned up since we ate in the room and not the cafeteria.
