Mindys Case

A/N:This is when she was found dead 13 years after her disappearance. The picture above is when she was 4 years old.

Uniformed officers entered an abandoned house where someone said that a little girl was inside. The house was dirty, the windows were broken and the glass was everywhere. They looked in each of the rooms in the house in hopes of finding her alive and bring her back home to her family, but unfortunately they were wrong. "Hey! She's over here." One of the men said as he stood in the room looking at her dead body. He was horrified by what he saw, her eyes were closed and her clothes were torn and covered in blood. Her body felt stiff to the touch."Oh my god..." Another officer said with a shocked expression. "I believe it's her. How did she get here?" The detective asked. "People have been saying that she disappeared from her home and she ended up getting kidnapped." The officer explained to the detective as he examined the scene. "What's her name?" Detective John asks as he raises a eyebrow. "Mindy Edwards." Officer Max says as he reads her missing persons report. "She was reported missing when her mother noticed that she didn't show up to the house for a while and she started to get worried about her daughter." He explains as John was listening to the report. One question kept going through their minds: "Who would do this?"

Her family was grieving over the death of Mindy. They couldn't believe that she was dead, it was heartbreaking to hear that she wasn't going to come back. "We are very sorry for your loss, we are doing everything we can to get justice for you guys and we're hoping to get someone in custody for the murder of your daughter." Officer Daniel says to Mindys parents as they were wiping away their tears. 

"I can't believe she's gone...please find the person that did this to her." Mindys mother says as she hugs her husband. Daniel nods his head and gives a small smile. "We will. I promise." He says as he mutters a goodbye and gets in his car and drives away.

The police tried to find clues that led to Mindys disappearance and who her killer is, it was very difficult but they had no luck in identifying her killer. Who would kill a five year old girl and just leave her to die in an abandoned house? After exhausting their resources, the case started to grow cold. No leads were made and they had no idea who the killer was. Months went by without any updates on the case, Mindys family wanted answers and they wanted justice, but so far there was nothing.

??? POV: W-where am I? Am I dead? Mommy? Daddy? I want to go home!! I'm scared...help me! What happened to me? Am I dreaming? Wake up!
Don't worry Mindy...your in good hands now. You'll wake up soon enough. Huh? Who was that? How do they know my name? I see a light! I'll follow it. I opened my eyes to see a curtain? What the? Where am I? I stand up and and I feel...tall? I look down to see that I'm wearing a clown outfit?! What the heck is going on?! I hear a noise and it sounded like someone fell into a ball pit or something. I peek through the curtain and I see a child in the ball pit, he looks young but he seems older. Maybe that person can help me! I walk out through the curtain and I start speaking. "Hoo hoo hoo!" What the heck? That's not how I sound like!
