All Might lifted up his shirt to reveal a scar

Mirabel and Izuku both gasped at the site

All Might: Pretty gross, right? I got this in a big fight five years back. My respiratory system was basically destroyed. I lost my whole stomach. All the surgeries have pretty much worn me out. And it can't be fixed.

Mirabel had a saddened look on her face as she realized what was going on in the heroes head

All Might: Right now, I can only do hero work for about three hours a day. Rest of the time, this is what I look like.

Izuku: No way... Five years ago?

Mirabel: So does that mean it was the fight with Toxic Chainsaw?

All Might stood up and turned to the door to the roof

Mirabel put her hand on the back of Izuku's back to comfort him

All Might: If you wanna help people, there are plenty other ways to do it. You could become a police officer. They get crap because the heroes
capture most of the villains. But it's a fine profession. It's not bad to have a dream, young man, young lady. Just, make sure your dreams are attainable. Realistic. Understand?

All Might said as he walked into the building and out of sight

Izuku turned to Mirabel and hugged her tightly crying his eyes out, as the girl was trying her best not to cry as well

Izuku: *sniff* h-he's right Mari... we'll never be a hero if we don't have quirks...

(Small retcon, Izuku's Nickname to Mirabel is because he pronounced her name as Maribel when they were kids, shortening it to Mari... there, fixed my fuck up haha)

Mirabel: shhh, it's alright Izuku... we should probably head home... we don't want our Familia getting worried

Izuku nodded as he started walking to the door of the roof...

Mirabel and Izuku started walking home in silence as they couldn't come to talk about their situation as they felt broken at the moment...

That is until they hear an explosion nearby and realize they walked into a villain attack

They were both shocked to see the sludge villain from before

But even more shocked to see Bakugo was captured by the beast

Without hesitation, Izuku ran into the fray, with Mirabel following suit

It almost felt like time slowed down for Mirabel when she ran and bumped into Izuku but Izuku was able to throw his backpack into the sludge's eye harder this time and the two kids was able to get a good chunk of Bakugo free from the slime Villain

Bakugo: What the hell are you quirkless freaks doing here?

Izuku: we just could stand and watch you die Kaachan

At that moment, All Might arrived and delivered a Delware Smash to the slime Villain, freeing Bakugo from its grasp

While Bakugo was praised, Mirabel and Izuku were berated on their actions. Which just made them want to leave...

On their way back, they had an encounter with Bakugo

... which went as expected...

When he left the two continued walking no longer determined to be heroes...

All Might put his hand up to say he's ok

Izuku and Mirabel cried and Izuku grabbed Mirabel I a hug and kissed her quickly I excitement from what he heard

Izuku stopped realizing what he did causing the two to blush massively

All Might: now which one of you want to inherit my majestic quirk?

Izuku and Mirabel: ...EHHH?!
