Leigh's P.O.V

"It's very nice to meet you Leigh. I've heard all about you." He reaches his hand out and shakes mine.

I nod cautiously. "Oh, then you either hate me or love me." Vincent let's out a laugh.

"She's funny, just like you said." Again, I wasn't even joking.

"That's our Leigh." Oh God this is so awkward. I can't believe they're friends???

Vincent turns to me. "I actually have a son that goes to school with you. His names Knox. I have a younger son, too, but he's a freshman so you may not have met him. Have you met Knox yet?"

I smile nervously. "Uh...we've encountered each other. He's nice." I didn't know Knox had a little brother?

Well duh, you just met him Leigh.

Vincent let's out a sound that sounds something like a laugh. "I've never heard someone describe Knox as nice. Guess he likes you. Which is also weird. He doesn't like a lot of people." There must be a hole I can crawl into. Somewhere. Anywhere.

Suddenly, there's the sound of a car pulling in next door. Vincent looks back in the direction of the doorway. "Oh, that must be my son's now." Please don't get them over here. Please-

"Would you be willing to go tell then to come on over? The doors locked anyway and Knox lost his key." Vincent asks. I swallow hard. Great.

I nod, putting on a fake smile. "I can." I nod, and walk off. How do things like this happen?

I set my backpack down next to the front door before making my way outside. As I'm walking down the porch stairs, I see Knox walking up his, and shorter guy infront of him. That must be his brother.

When I'm walking across Knox's yard, is when he sees me. He pauses on the steps, and a smirk pulls at his lips, a brow raised. Hm?

"Oh, did you rethink that offer?" Oh dear lord...

I wonder how confident he would be if I agreed right now. I have a feeling he'd freak out.

His little brother sees me when Knox speaks and instantly glares, turning around, and walks to the door. Oh.

"Kam, it's ok. She's cool." 'Kam', slowly turns around, giving Knox a cautious look, before looking over at me. A smile in a goofy-awkward way, guving him a quick wave. A smile quirks at his lips. Him and Knox share similar qualities.

Kam, which I think is short for Kameron, has the same dark brown hair as his brother, but his is longer. Kameron also shares his fathers dark green eyes. Knox has dark green eyes though, which I'm assuming he got from his mother. Where's their mother?

"So?" Knox inquires, the sound of Kam yanking on the door starting.

I shake my head. "Never even entered my mind. Now follow me." I motion with my hand dramtically.

Knox furrows his eyebrows. "I'm a little confused here. If this isn't about the offer, why are you taking me to your house?" I purse my lips, giving him a look. "Alright, I'm going." He makes his way back down the porch stairs.

"Erm...you have to come too." I say, talking to his brother. Kameron looks back at me, eyebrows furrowed.

"Why?" Knox asks, even more confused now than he just was.

I let out a long breath. "You'll see..."

I see that Kameron's not moving. He actually seems kind of nervous. Knox turns to him. "Kameron, you coming?" So it is Kameron.
