Creator comment: Wtf is Yae's full name... (It's fine I searched it up ehe, and it's Guuji Yae or Lady Guuji)

Creator comment #2: Before you read please leave any criticism I'm not THAT good at writing stories.... I mean this one I put my full commitment into it because it's EiMiko bruh. (Do I wanna write more of EiMiko? Yes! Yes I do.)

<...>

She stood there in front of the Sacred Sakura tree. A little dizzy.

"Whatever is going on. My head has been all around the place today," Yae mumbled.

"Could this be a sickness perhaps?" She asked herself, closing her eyes as Sakura petals fall to the floor.

...

A shrine maiden walked up to her, what was she holding?

"Lady Guuji, may this indulge your need for a new novel?" The shrine maiden asked curiously. "Ah! Let's see if this is worth my attention," Yae said, opening her eyes to look at the shrine maiden.

Yae placed a tissue onto her mouth, coughing.

"Lady Guuji? Are you ok?" Asked the shrine maiden.

"I..." She collapsed on her knees, coughing violently. "Lady Guuji?!" The shrine maiden shrieked in fear. "That's Chief EDITOR," Yae yelled, thunder bolted from the sky. "Y-yes Chief Editor," the shrine maiden said, collapsing her voice.

Yae tried getting up, but her legs failed her. "Lady- I uh! Chief Editor! You need to get some rest, it is obvious you are sick!" the shrine maiden yelped again. "I'm fine!" Yae said, gathering her strength to get up.

"How sad, I didn't even get to read this," Yae uttered, picking up the novel. A sudden strain clashed with Yae's body, and her heart thumped.

"CHIEF EDITOR?" The shrine maiden yelled.

Yae once again fell to her knees, coughing. "My body aches!" Yae mumbled. What was this pain? This illness? The Kitsune could not move her body, each movement left a violent streak of pain.

She kept coughing, eventually, she started coughing blood. The shrine maiden called for help as Yae was helpless on the floor. "How embarrassing!" Yae snapped, breathing heavily. As medical professionals rushed in, Yae was still conscious as everything slowly bothered her.

Her head started throbbing in pain, slowly but surely, her throat became itchy and dry. Eventually, Yae fainted.

...

"Leave at once," a voice demanded.

Yae regained consciousness. "Miko? Are you alright?"

It's Ei? What's she doing here?

"What happened?!" Yae asked. "Well that's no way to greet your archon now is it?" Ei said calmly, stroking Yae's ears. Yae turned red in the face. "Apologies Ei," she replied softly. "That's alright. From what I heard, you fell ill. How sad, I was not there to carry you to your bed," Ei chuckled. Yae looked at her, blushing.

"Hey, I thought I was the teaser," Yae pouted slightly. Ei chuckled once again. "The medical professionals informed me you should feel better after resting and taking some medicine. Don't worry me like that anymore Yae," Ei said, walking towards where her pajamas were set.

Ei went into another room to change, and Yae tried to sleep.

She couldn't.

Something was missing.

Whatever could it be?

"Miko?" Ei entered the room with her pajamas on. Yae sat up, unable to sleep. "I'm so tired Ei, but I cannot sleep," Yae whispered as her ears pointed downwards. Ei looked at her, then smiled. "Do not fear, Miko, for I will help you sleep. It is the least I could do for you and the Traveller's efforts to bring me back from Makoto's state of consciousness. Perhaps even saving me from possible strain," Ei said, walking towards Miko as she crawled into the bed with her.

Yae started coughing again. "Take it easy now Miko," Ei said gently, blushing.

"Oh Ei," Yae's eyes widened.

"Hush now my sly fox~ Do not fear anything. Just rest in my arms," Ei said, looking at Yae.

A smile came from the fox envoy, as her lips met with Ei's. "Ei... You might get sick as well," Yae said, closing her eyes gently.

Ei chuckled. "And if I do, you'll be there for me, so why should I have any worry!" Ei said, smiling. Yae laughed slightly. "Yes, my archon, I will!" Yae said once more, falling into a deep slumber.
