They said, Useless ? me ? Really ? useless. I gazed at my parents with my eyes half open. They walked away, shutting the door behind them. I was laying on the cold floor, my body was aching and some parts of my body were bleeding.
I did not have any power to get up and go to my room. All the beating has made my body weak. New scars appeared on my skin. I just chuckled , feeling pity on myself.
My eyes eventually closed.
I heard two familiar voices muttering near me. Before someone poured a bucket of cold water on me. Making me wake up and yelp in pain.
"Wake up it is time for your college" My mom threw me a tube of Mederma gel.
"Apply this on your scar before leaving for college"
My mom turned around and took her leave. I took the tube in my hand before getting up slowly. I walked towards my bedroom hoping that I wouldn't meet Kwan on the way. If Kwan saw me this way he would get in a fight with mom and dad for me.
No one in this family cares about me , only Kwan is the person who takes good care of me and takes his responsibility as a younger brother really perfectly. He is the only one who loves me and tries his level best to make me smile again.
I closed the door behind me. I took my clothes and went to take a shower. I started the shower, I bit my lips , my body was still aching a lot. Tears were forming inside my eyes, this time I let my tears fall down.
I sobbed with the shower on so no one knows that I am crying. This all is too much, mom and dad treat me so differently than they treat Kwan and Ha-eun. They make me feel that I am not their daughter and belong here.
I turned the shower off. I stepped out wrapping my naked body with a towel, I gazed at my reflection.
You should really fight for yourself Y/n.
I took the Mederma gel tube and applied it to the scar. This gel does not work at all, I still have scars all over my body.
"Y/n are you done?" I heard Kwan shout coming from out of my door.
"Almost" I shouted back.
I quickly kept the gel on the table. I pulled my arche slate pants and wore them with Lake Tahoe crew neck grey sweatshirt. I always wear full sleeve clothes that cover up my scar.
I tied a ponytail before leaving the bathroom.
"Finally you are done, I have been waiting for hours" I rolled my eyes at his lame joke. Kwan was wearing his all time favorite Los Angeles sweatshirt which I gifted him last year on his birthday.
He giggled at me, seeing him giggle made me giggle along with him. "Now let's go and have breakfast" He tucked his arm in my arm.
"Your 15th birthday is coming soon. What do you want?" I asked him. He gazed at me. "Anything that you want to give me, I will accept it without any complaint" He smiled at me. "Okay then"
We both walked outside my room and went to the dining area. Pancakes and bacon were already placed on the table. "Bacon my favorite" Kwan muttered, he quickly sat on his chair.
I just chuckled on his childish behaviour. I took my seat beside him. We both began to eat our breakfast. The maid served us mango juice. We were about to drink our juice when mom, dad and Ha-eun entered the dining area. Mom and dad smiled at Kwan.
"Good morning Kwan" They greeted him.
"Good morning mom and dad"
He smiled at them. Ha-eun was about to greet him but stopped when she saw me. Ha-eun used to be a really amazing elder sister when we were young but when we grew up, she started to hate me and made me her maid. She orders me stuff to do and I have to follow her orders, if I do not she will complain to mom and dad about it and they will hurt me badly like they always do.
Kwan and I got up from the chair. "We are getting late, so we will take our leave now"
He gazed at mom and dad.
"Take care" Mom planted a kiss on Kwan's cheeks.
Mom gazed at me before walking back to her chair. Why did I think that she would also kiss me goodbye ? She just showers Kwan and Ha-eun with her love whereas me she just loves to see me in pain.
"Let's go Y/n"
Kwan tapped my shoulders. I took my bag from the maid and walked out of the dining room with Kwan.
"Did you feel sad when mom did not kiss you goodbye ?" Kwan looked at me worriedly.
"No, I am used to it." I giggled bitterly, I gazed at Kwan before saying
"You don't have to worry about you." I ruffled his hair.
"Y/n you ruined my hair, it took me a lot of time to do it" Kwan pouted
"Oh I am sorry" I giggled.
"Just run" He glared at me.
Oh boy, I called trouble. I began to run towards the car , he ran behind me.
"I am sorry" I almost shouted when he catch me.
"Revenge time" He ruffled my hair, making it look like a mess.
"Done? Now let's go we are going to get late"
Kwan nodded his head.
