Chapter 5

Becky woke up that morning with a little headache. So when she looked over at the other side of the room, she sighed relieved when she saw her roommaten's bed was empty.

After what happened last night, she was really happy to have this morning for herself. There were some thoughts that kept coming back, repeating over and over in her head.

Her eyes closed for a couple of seconds, remembering yet again her frantically beating heart when she stond so close to Freen.

She honestly didn't really know what to do with the memory. Why was her heart acting like this? Was it because of the sudden confrontation, or maybe because the girl was the first person ever to challenge her like this? She felt lost.

Not yet leaving her position in bed, Becky reached for her phone on the nightstand. The contact name in question came into view. Without thinking twice she pressed the name.

'Hi.' Yuki's voice came out a little hoarse, probably just awoken like Becky.
'Hi, sorry to call you this early... are you free today?' Becky asked her friend.
'Mmm I think so yeah. What are we up to?' Excitement settled in Becky's stomach.
'How about we go and watch a movie or something. I heard there was a new movie with Ryan Reynolds. It looked pretty good.' Yuki nodded her head, approving.
'I mean, staring at Ryan Reynolds for two hours is worth the money. So why not.' Becky was happy that she had something to do today.
'Alright, I'll come and pick you up at your room.' The call ended, her phone forgotten on her pillow when she left to the bathroom.

Her morning routing wasn't that extensive, so in 15 minutes Becky was ready to leave her room.

Yuki engulfed her in a big hug, which felt nice since she had no one around to hug. And she was definitely not about to hug her roommate... she would rather jump of a bridge. A content sigh escaped her lips, holding on for as long as possible.

'You okay, Becky?' Yuki asked a little worried when the girl didn't let go of her right away. She kept her arms around her frame.

'I'm sorry, I just really miss hugs and affection.' Becky finally let go of her friend. Yuki hooked her arm with Becky's arm, both started walking towards the exit of the building.

'How have you been?' A simple question but a not so simple answer.

'Mm I guess alright. My roommate, Freen, has been a little difficult though. She's been making it pretty hard to live with her. I don't know why but she keeps annoying me and doing these little things to tease me. I'm getting quite sick off it to be honest.' It felt so relieving to get all of that out, but there was still a part that she hasn't told Yuki yet.

'Really? I've never heard a rumour about her being a bully? How does she keep annoying you?' Yuki had this clueless expression on her face, not understanding how a girl like Freen could be annoying or a bully.

'Mm like jabbing with mean comments, like threatening with a coffee, like standing in the doorway of the bathroom so I couldn't pass through without a stare down.' That last sentence left her mouth faster then the previous. Yuki stopped walking suddenly, making Becky abruptly stop too.

'She did what? Can you repeat that last thing, slowly this time.' Her friend was looking at her face intensely.

'She didn't wanna move out of the way when I needed to change in the bathroom. So I went to stand right in front of her and we had a stare down for a minute or two. It was pretty intense and weird.' Becky's nose crunched up in disgust recalling the moment.

'That does sound a little strange to me. I mean, if my roommate did that all of a sudden, I would punch that bitch in the face.' A laugh erupted from Becky's throat.
