Chapter 7
'I don't know man... she's giving me all these mixed signs. This is the first time in a long ass time that I just can't tell what this girl wants from me. One moment she wants to pull all the hairs out of my head and then the next she's staring at me with these- these eyes.' Freen was ranting to her best friends.
It was lunchbreak between lectures. The cafeteria was a little less crowded then usually, probably because of the nice weather. Everyone was seated outside, while Freen, Tee, Jim and Kade were seated inside.
Why you may ask? Well, Freen was trying to avoid a certain girl, at least for now. They were roommates, so she couldn't avoid her forever. But after what happened in the morning, she needed some space.
Freen felt a little panic creeping up on her whenever the girl popped up in her thoughts, which was getting more frequently now that she thought about it.
'What do you mean with "these eyes"?' Kade asked while stuffing her face with rice. There it was again, that fluttering in her chest every time she remembered her roommate's gaze.
'I don't know... just- she just- stares at me sometimes and it makes me uncomfortable.' It made her nervous, but she wouldn't admit that. Freen didn't even know if Becky was conscious of her secret gazing, that weren't so secret after all.
'Now I definitely wanna meet this girl. There aren't a lot of people that make The Freen Sarocha uncomfortable. When can we meet her?' Tee was leaning on her elbows with this smirk on her face.
She could look right through Freen, knowing exactly what was going on in her friend's little head and heart. Freen's eyes expressed pure panic, making everyone on the table laugh. At least someone could laugh about it, because Freen couldn't. She was stuck with her roommate for the rest of the year, no ways to escape awkward situations.
Tee suddenly looked up towards someone a little further away in the cafeteria, signing her over by sticking up her hand and smiling. Freen looked with a weird expression at her friend, not used to seeing that kind off smile.
Following her gaze, she saw 2 girls approaching their table, trying to make their way through the students. She didn't know the first girl, so when she checked out the other one, her heart fell to her feet.
Becky was following behind Yuki. The sudden urge to drop everything in hand and run was present, but the girls were already so close that it would look suspicious to run right now.
The still unknown girl rounded the table and gave Tee a quick peck on her lips. The whole table was looking at the two with wide eyes.
'Guys, this is Yuki. We're seeing each other.' How could she drop a bomb like that on them? Jim blinked a couple times before coming back to her senses.
'Oh my god! Congratulations! Tee, how have you not told us about this before?!' Jim exclaimed. Tee wasn't the kind of person that dated around a lot. But Freen was glad that she finally found someone that could help her move on from her ex.
Her friends were excitedly talking about Yuki and Tee, while the forgotten girl was standing next to their table. Freen was watching with the side view of her eye, her heart still going faster than usual by the sudden presence of the girl.
That was until Kade turned her head towards the quiet girl. Freen saw how Becky's cheeks got flaming red and avoided eye contact. Her eyes squinted, examining the smaller girl. Was she shy? Or was it because Freen was here?
'Hi, what's your name?' Kade asked her. Freen has never seen Becky this shy and embarrassed. Her roommate was always very vocal and harsh with her words, so it didn't occur to her that she was any different with other new people. But seeing how no words left the girl's mouth, Freen stepped in.
