Percy's POV
There was a knock on the door. I was too groggy to get up.
That's when I heard Rachael's voice.
"PERCY! GET DOWN HERE! I'M GOING TO PETRI PEAK!" She yelled."Shh!" I laughed. "I'll be right down."
When I got down from the rope connected to my window, I looked into Rachael's eyes. One green, one blue. Her long, black, hair swept across her face in the wind.
Her beauty was so strong, I couldn't resist. But I had to.
Rachael would think I was crazy if I went from being her friend to kissing her.
I would think I was crazy. But she would never fall for me. I'm too naive for her.
She's the smartest person I've ever met! What are you thinking? Just forget about her!
After I got rid of those thoughts, I said to Rachael, "Are you sure we should be doing this, Rachael?" I asked."What? Are you scared?" She challenged me.
"No way! I'm not scared of anything!" (Yes I am)"Oh yeah? Then come on!" She said.
The way she isn't scared of anything gives me goosebumps. The thought of her adventurous look just gives me the chills! (In a good way)
"Alright, I'm coming." I said.
The hike was a long one, and Rachael never stopped for a second.
I was sweating my ass off, and she didn't even sparkle. But when we finally got up the mountain, there was a treasure much greater than Rachael herself, and that's hard for me to admit.
What sat on top of Petri Peak, was a giant, purple,
fire-breathing fairy dragon.
