Percy's POV

As we saw the ferocious beast, I told Rachael to back away.
But, as usual, she didn't listen. Instead, she got closer.

I couldn't help but get worried. I didn't want her to get hurt!

"Rachael... You need to back.. Away.." I said slowly stepping towards Rachael in attempt to pull her away.
"Oh, hush! You'll just scare it away!" She shushed.
"But Rachael.. You could get hurt! This is exactly what your father is afraid of!" I scolded her.
"I don't care!" She yelled, then immediately gasped, realizing she was scaring the dragon.

The dragon tried to run away, but was limping.
I think Rachael realized this, because she started talking sweetly to the monster.

"It's okay, I'm your friend. Just don't try to run away. You have a thorn in your foot, and if you run it will just dig in further." She said quietly.

Rachael has always had this special gift. The only people she's ever told was Savanna and I.
She can understand animals.

"What's your name?" She asked the dragon.

It just gruffed a bit, then Rachael said, "Her name is Iria. She's a fairy dragon. There are very few left."
"Great. Now let's go home. Your parents will be up soon." I said impatiently.
"Oh no, you're right! There's no way I can get home in time! Even if I run!" Rachael worried.

The dragon gruffed a few more times, and the next thing I know, Rachael was climbing onto its back as if she were a real Margonist.
"Well?" She asked. "Well what?" I said.
"Are you coming or not?" She challenged.
"No way! Becoming a Margonist is your dream. Not mine." I snapped.
"Okay. Then have fun walking home!" Rachael said flirtatiously.
"Okay, okay. I'll come." I admitted.
"But if I get hurt-"
"You won't!" Rachael assured me. "Besides, what could go wrong?" She asked.

"NEVER say that! Don't you watch movies??" I said worriedly.
"Ugh... You and your superstitions.." Rachael said and then told Iria she was ready to fly.
