Around 7:30 am
At Angela's school, specifically in the classroom. Angela and her mates were seen having a yarn while the other students were making a racket. But that's no worries for Angela, Nina, Queenie, Stormi, Steven, Donnie, Daniel, Mike and Delilah because they're used to that kind of situation.
" Youse, Valentine's Day is comin' up soon, reckon the principal ain't gonna have a prom night event at school? " Stormi asked.
" Dunno yet, let's just wait for the announcement first " Mike answered Stormi's question.
" If they have a prom night party here, you guys should go. I'm too lazy and I don't have a date, " Angela said unenthusiastically.
" Don't worry, you've got me, " Donnie said to Angela, teasing the pretty girl.
" So, where are you going to put me, Don?! " Daniel asked Donnie, not wanting to be left out.
" Oi, I'm a bit slack! " Angela said again.
" Oi, we don't even know if the ball is gonna happen or not, so why are you lot talking about it? " asked Delilah, she didn't understand why they were all talking about it so early when the school hadn't said anything yet.
Suddenly the bell rang for an announcement, and they were all certain that there must be something important that the school wanted to share with them, so they listened attentively. The entire school grounds fell silent for a moment.
" Attention to all teachers and students. To celebrate Valentine's Day on the 14th of February, the school has decided to host the 2015 prom night party. You are all encouraged to wear smart and stylish attire and bring a date on the 14th of February, 2015. Thank you. " That is the announcement that the school has just made to everyone. Cheers from all the students in their classes showed their excitement about the news.
" Don't be like that, Angela. If you don't show up to the ball, it won't be as much fun, " said Nina trying to persuade Angela.
" Nina is right, please Angela, " this time it was Queenie who persuaded.
" Please come to that party Angela, if you don't have a partner you can bring your brothers too, " Steven said.
Angela seemed to be thinking, it's true what Steven said, why is she wasting time at home while other people enjoy coming to the party? If she doesn't have a date, she can invite her brothers and sisters to the prom night party. As for clothes, she didn't think too much because she already had many beautiful dresses in her wardrobe, or she could even buy a new dress.
" Alright, for all of you I will come to the ball night party, " Angela finally made up her mind, she was determined to go to the ball night party.
" Sweet as, that's what we want to hear, " Queenie said, all the mates smiled.
It's finally time for school break, and as per usual, all the students are rushing out of their classes and hanging out around the school grounds. Angela, however, has quietly made her way to a bench in the flower garden. She's sitting alone, lost in thought as usual.
" Who do I have to invite to the prom night party? Surely I don't have to invite the senile Juna? Invite Henry? It's impossible! " Angela wondered in her heart without realizing that the handsome teacher was approaching her. The man looked as sharp as ever in his brown coat and matching tie.
" Angela, I was told by your mates that you didn't have a date for the prom night party, aye? How about you come with me? " Angela was taken aback after hearing the words of Mr. Charlie Dean who invited her to the prom night. This teacher is really gutsy! Does this mean he asked Angela out on a date? A teacher dating his student? What will the teachers and other students reckon about them later on? At least that's what Angela was pondering at the moment, she would be so embarrassed if they became the talk of the whole school.
" W-what?! With you?! What if they all find out? I'll be so embarrassed! " Angela said.
" Don't worry, they won't find out " said Mr. Charlie Dean as he showed Angela something "'there is this thing! " he showed 2 face masks to the beautiful girl.
" Wow, you're clever! " Angela praised while taking a face mask from Mr. Charlie Dean's hand.
" Of course, I'm a teacher! " said Mr. Charlie Dean proudly. They both chuckled for a moment.
At Octav's family home. Around evening time.
The three people were seen chilling on the veranda of the whare while having a korero, they are Michael, Angela and Lucille, it looks like Angela has informed them both that her school is going to have a ball." W-what?! Prom night party?! " Lucille asked in a raised voice, she seemed very excited to hear about the party.
" Yeah, can I go to the prom night party, dad? " Angela asked.
" Sure thing, but who do you want to go with? " Michael asked Angela, he doesn't mind if Angela wants to go out with anyone as long as she knows her limits as a girl.
" With a mate! " Angela answered.
" I want to come as well! " Lucille said aloud.
" No, you can't, auntie! This is just for school kids! " Angela said. " If you come with me to the ball, there will be more trouble later, " Angela said again. It could be risky if Auntie Lucille found out who she was going to the ball with, her plans would be ruined later. Lucille was a bit rebellious and not happy with Angela's decision not to invite her to the ball even though she knew Lucille really wanted to go.
" Ugh! " The sound of Lucille's voice was a sign that she was rebelling.
" Lucille, you can't come! You just stay at home. If you go there with Angela, you'll definitely see the teacher again, she'll definitely be there that night, " Michael said again, trying to persuade Lucille not to follow Angela to the prom night party.
" Dad was right, Miss Linda Watson will be there that night, I'm sure because every year she always comes to the ball. She never once did not come to the ball party, " said Angela while admitting that Michael's words were true. Lucille seemed to be thinking for a moment.
" Ok fine, I give up, I won't go! " Lucille said.
