After the meet and greet was over Brody called for a car to take him and Allie to a late dinner. They got in the car and when the driver asked where to, Brody asked him to find a quiet, out of the way place with decent food. The driver suggested a little Italian bistro a few blocks away. Brody not taking his eyes off Allie said that sounded perfect.

They got there and Allie suggested she go in first to make sure the place wasn't over run with a post concert crowd. Brody appreciated that. That alone showed him she was different. Most girls would be all about making sure they were seen with him. She came back to the car. "Ok they have a little table for two in the back that's perfect. There's maybe 15 people in the restaurant and they said if we needed them to stay open late, for you they would." He laughed and got out of the car. As soon as they walked into the restaurant the hostess was waiting with their menus to take them to their table. You could tell she was nervous. Brody smiled and thanked her. The waiter came over quickly to take their drink orders. Brody looked at Allie, "may I order a bottle of wine?" Allie nodded, "yes of course." Brody ordered a bottle of Moscato Di Asti. Which happened to be her favorite. The waiter came back right away with the wine. Brody looked at Allie, "Do you know what you want for dinner?" Allie was looking at the menu, "I'll be honest, I'm so hungry I'd eat just about anything." Brody laughed, "I'm sorry I made you wait so late to eat." Allie looked up from her menu, "Oh no, please don't take what I said that way. I was happy to wait for you."

They ordered a pizza and the waiter brought bread sticks over, compliments of the chef. Brody grabbed a breadstick and sat back in his seat. "So Allie Grindel, tell me about yourself." Allie froze, "Trust me, there's really not much to know. I'm a pretty open book and it's not a very fascinating one at that." Brody chuckled, "I doubt thats true. Tell me about your self, your hobbies, pet peeves, likes and dislikes. Anything at all." Allie smiled, "Well, as of today I'm 32. I'm an only child, I have one cat, her name's Lola and other than Clare she's my best friend in the world. I love music and movies and reading and dancing and singing, even though I'm horrible at almost all of those things. I love stormy days when I have no where to be. I live for those days. My pet peeves, liars, cheats, people who talk on their cell phones when they're in line at the grocery store." Brody laughed, "so that's you in a nutshell." Allie laughed and threw her hands in the air, "Yep pretty much. So what about you?" Brody took a drink of his wine, "Well, I have an older brother and a younger sister. Very close with my sister. I have no pets although I love them. Just not home enough to feel like it's fair to the pet. I love movies and music and I'm an ok singer. Not much of a dancer but you give me enough moscato and I'll give it a shot." Allie laughed. Brody admired her, "You have such a beautiful smile." Allie didn't know what to say. She wasn't used to this kind of positive attention. Brody noticed it, "I'm sorry, did I make you uncomfortable? I didn't mean to." He reached across the table and took her hand. She blushed. "I'm just not used to being treated so nice." Brody stroked her hand with his thumb, "Well then you're due for a little TLC." Allie rolled her eyes, "What's that?" she laughed. Brody laughed, "I"m not sure I even know, but, maybe we should figure it out together." Allie smiled and nodded yes. "I couldn't agree with you more."
Brody raised his glass to her to make a toast. Allie raised hers as well. Brody said, "Here's to new friends and new experiences and the beginning of a beautiful relationship." Ari raised her glass, "Here, here."

Their pizza arrived and they ordered another bottle of wine to go with it. Allie was starting to relax and let down her guard and Brody was so relieved. He wanted her to feel comfortable with him. He knew his celebrity status made a lot of people uncomfortable and he was really hoping it wouldn't scare her away. They ate pizza and drank wine and laughed and talked and just had a great time. They ended up finishing almost 3 bottles of wine. The hostess of the restaurant asked if he needed them to call for a car of them. Brody graciously accepted the offer. A few minutes later she came back and told him that their car was there. They got up, Allie was a little off balance. Brody laughed, "Does my birthday girl have a birthday buzz going?" Allie laughed, "It appears so. I'm sorry. I don't drink much so when I do it hits me pretty hard." Brody put his arm around her, "Don't apologize, I wanted you to have a good time tonight. I'll make sure you get home safely." Allie felt a little disappointed inside, she hadn't thought about it, but this probably was the end of the evening. Would she ever see him again?
