A/N: Hi, Pack! Thank you guys all so much for the support on this book, and I really hope you enjoyed it. Unfortunately, this is the last chapter, finally bringing this story to a close. Hopefully a new book will take this one's place by mid to late June though, and I hope you guys will support that one as well. Thanks again, and here's the final chapter, chapter eleven! :D
A few hours after the end of the final round in the Team Lads vs. Team Gents Tournament, things at the stadium had calmed down. The last few spectators had cleared out after about three and a half hours after the finale, leaving the two teams sitting alone in the middle of the arena for a half an hour at the four hours after mark.
The six were all chatting and joking as if they had been rivals and friends for years, barely even mentioning the match other than some "Good Game"'s being passed around, and a couple reflections on some particular moments.
While #TeamGentsVictory, #TeamLadsLoss, and #TeamLadsVSTeamGents trended highly on Twitter, the members of the teams were silent on social networking, no one speaking of the outcome of the match, or even speaking at all, as if the tournament had never happened.
Five hours after the end of the tournament, the Lads and Gents still resided in the abandoned stadium, still talking, as if they didn't even notice that time was passing.
Maybe they didn't.
At five and a half hours later, though, something did actually happen.
Geoff randomly stood up at that point in time, garnering the attention of the other five. While the Lads looked at him with curious glances and rising eyebrows, the other two Gents seemed as if this is what they were waiting for.
"Team Lads," the oldest man spoke, a smile beginning to adorn his face. "There is something I would like to ask you."
The younger men had to hold in their chuckles and tried to suppress smirking as much as possible at these words. Geoff was being so dramatic.
What could possibly require so much over dramatization?
"I would like to ask you to join us."
At this Ryan and Jack stood to stand next to Geoff, looking as excited as their leader.
"Um..." Was the response from Michael, the other two sharing shocked expressions.
"Well, wouldn't that defeat the purpose of us being called the Lads and Gents, though? Would we be Team Lads & Gents?" The older three chuckled at Gavin's response, Ryan smiling, Jack shaking his head, and Geoff preparing to respond.
"That's the thing! We'll become a new team! We'll all start over! We'll become Achievement Hunter!" Jack held up a piece of paper at these words, said paper depicting a black circle outlined in light green, with light green brackets making up a crosshair like design inside said circle; inside the brackets was a light green star, with a black joystick on it. The words Achievement Hunter were printed cleanly underneath the logo.
"...That's the name of the new team, by the way." Even after that follow up, the three Lads were still silent. Perhaps the Gents had planned too far ahead. They had assumed Team Lads would have just agreed to form a team with them, no questions asked.
Oddly enough, Ray was the first to speak.
"I'll do it. I mean, yolo, right?" They all laughed at this, the Puerto Rican shaking hands with the three Gents before striding to stand beside them.
"How about it, boi?" Gavin asked Michael, head slightly cocked to the side as he turned to face the pseudo leader of the Lads.
"Let's do it! TEAM NICE DYNAMITE!" Gavin and Michael cheered, laughing, and Ray laughed along with them. Team Gents also mustered up chuckles, but only a few, as they didn't understand the reference at all. It must have been some kind of inside joke.
And with that, as the two Team Lads members went to join the Gents and Ray, Achievement Hunter was born.
There were no longer Gents and Lads fighting for superiority, only one team of six that dominated everyone else on the Fate Anarchy Leaderboard. It did take them all a while to get back to the top, as they had to restart at the bottom, but when they did eventually get there, there was no dethroning them.
Team Gents and Team Lads only became distant memories, the six teammates becoming AH_Geoff, AH_Jack, AH_Ryan, AH_Gavin, AH_Michael, and AH_Ray. The tournament that had sparked it all soon became just a part of history, and the origin of the team, the team that all Fate Anarchy Leaderboard members feared.
They were the best six person Fate team out there-No, the best Fate team in general, and they were a force to be reckoned with.
