The distance between us, feels like an endless void 
My heart longs to be with her, but fear has me destroyed 
I dream of holding her close, of feeling her embrace 
But I cannot seem to bridge, this chasm in my space 

I wonder if she feels, the same way that I do 
Or if my love is lost, in the distance and the blue 
I want to take a chance, to reach out and touch her heart 
But fear has me frozen, unable to even start 

I know that I must act, before it's too late to try 
Before my love is lost, and it fades away and dies 
But still I hesitate, unsure of what to do 
Afraid of the rejection, that I may face from you 

So I write these words, to tell you how I feel 
To show you my love, and hope that it will heal 
The distance between us, the fear that holds me back 
And help us find a way, to get our love on track

But my love for you is real, and it grows with every day
