Sometimes it is like this

When Takemichi and Mikey arrive at the Sano dojo, a somewhat angry Emma stands before them. Although angry is the wrong word, because it is not meant seriously.

"Mikey" growls the girl while he runs his hands through his hair. Takemichi comments with a nervous smile. Emma can be dangerous.

"I know, let me know if you're out late, your grandpa is worried, it's not good for his heart..." both he and Takemichi know that Mikey could continue these words forever, Emma has become very anxious since Shinichiro's death. Understandable, you wouldn't wish such a loss on anyone. Everyone loved him and Takemichi wished he had met him, maybe he would have been able to save him somehow.

"We were just in a public bathroom" the blue boy interrupts them both and Emma sighs. "Sending a message doesn't take a minute" Mikey nods. "I'll text you next time" and with that he walks past his sister. Both Takemichi and Emma know exactly he won't, he never does.

Emma nods as she does every time. "Good thing Draken and you are taking care of him" she shakes her head. "Are you sleeping here Take?" A quick nod. "Good then we'll have sandwiches for breakfast tomorrow~" Emma giggles and disappears into the kitchen. Knowing full well that the blond boy is just about to get his hands on the sweets, Takemichi follows the girl.

She shakes her head and watches her older brother. The slight sadness reflected in her eyes makes you look at this situation differently. Takemichi doesn't comment, it's like this every time Mikey comes home, Okey almost always, the other times he just goes to sleep.

For a while they both just watch until Emma goes to him. "That's enough sweet Mikey! It's your own fault if you come home late" Emma takes his food away from him. Mikey just pouts at that but doesn't contradict her. No matter how angry he would get at the girl, he would never harm a hair on his head. Besides, he would have a little problem with Draken if he ever did.

"Let's go to my room Takemichi" yawns Mikey, which also makes Takemichi stifle a yawn. Before Takemichi could answer he is already pulled along, quickly waving to Emma as Mikey is in quite a hurry.

In Mikey's room Takemichi always looks around first. It is the old workshop of Shinichiro if he had understood it correctly at that time. To this day it smells of oil, rust and just machine stuff in here. But the reason why the boy always looks around is in the hope to see a change. As much as he can understand Mikey, Mikey has to face the fact that Shinichiro is dead. Keeping him desperate in this world will eventually drive him crazy.

Takemichi goes to the cabinet where Shinichiro's old CDs are and takes one out, feeling Mikey's gaze on him. He knows Mikey doesn't like it, but he wouldn't send Takemichi away. Mikey avoids arguing with Takemichi at all costs.

"How come you never listen to any of the CDs?" The boy then speaks up and in the corner of his eye he sees Mikey shrug his shoulders before he starts to take off his gang uniform. "I never feel like it..." comes in the middle of the silence. Takemichi raises an eyebrow but leaves it at that and doesn't ask further. He puts the cd away from his hand to look at the others.

When he discovers one that he himself knows from his childhood, joy arises in him. "Do you have a CD player?"

Mikey, who has changed his clothes, joins takemichi. "Yeah why?" Takemichi looks at him pleadingly and the boy braces himself for the worst. "Let's listen to this CD please" as Mikey notices the twinkle in Takemichi's blue eyes he can't help but sigh with a slight smile. With a heavy heart, he brings out an "Fine" if you really want to, would like to add Mikey to his sentence but he wants to avoid unnecessary guilt feelings from his friend.

Takemichi puts the CDs on the table. "Can I have a shirt from you?" Mikey nods and pulls out a simple gray shirt. Since Mikey generally wears bigger clothes, it's no problem that it will fit Takemichi. And of course to mention that the two have a very similar stature and height. Mikey looks at him questioningly as Takemichi gives him a wait-and-see look. "As many times as I've slept over. What could I possibly need?" Immediately, something clicks and Mikey picks up another pair of gray pants. "Thanks" Takemichi murmurs softly, and Mikey turns away. When there are two of them, Mikey always looks away when Takemichi is changing. Almost like he's suddenly embarrassed.
