Seungmin's pov:
"Hey Seungmin, guess what just happened!" the door to my room flew open and my best friend Y/n appeared. She seemed very excited. I haven't even had time to respond to her before she already continued. "Hyunjin talked with me! Did you hear that?" She came over to me and shook my shoulder happily. "Hyunjin talked with me!" I gave her a faint smile. Hyunjin was her crush for the past two years. I don't like him and I think it's mutual. We just ignore each other in school. The same was for Y/n but suddenly Hyunjin changed his behavior towards her a few weeks ago.
"Oh really? That's nice" It wasn't nice. Not at all. I hated him and I have no clue what Y/n likes about him. But I could never tell her that. I loved to see her smile and she does it often when she talks about Hyunjin. I sighed.
"Okay, what do you want to do today?" My friend looked at me. Whenever Y/n was nervous or thinking about anything, she started biting her nails.
"You know, I actually wanted to meet with someone else later." I raised my eyebrow. Hopefully 'someone else' is not the person I am thinking it is.
"So you have a date with Hyunjin and you don't tell me?" I looked at her with widened eyes, acting as if I was hurt. A slight blush appeared on her cheeks. Gosh, she was so cute.
"Well, I wouldn't call it a date, it's more like going out with a friend," She chuckled.
"Yes, of course, it is" I tried to hide the jealousy that came up in me. I have liked Y/n since we were young but until now I never told her and I was jealous of Hyunjin because I know that she will always see me only as her best friend. The way she sat next to me on my bed, stroking away some of her dark brown hair, which had fallen into her face. With her beautiful smile, she was looking at me and her dimples were visible. It drove me crazy. "Okay, but you have to tell me how it went" her smile got even wider.
"I will, don't worry" Y/n stood up and hugged me one last time before leaving my room. I let myself fall onto my bed. I was just staring at the ceiling wondering if I should confess my feelings to her. At the end of the night, I came to the decision that I will tell her how I feel tomorrow when we meet again and with this thought, I fell asleep.
Y/n's pov:
I stood in front of Seungmin's house, waiting for him to finally open the door. Ringing the doorbell for the fourth time I looked at the time. It was already 1 pm. He is usually awake at this time. Of course, I forgot the key which he gave me some years ago, at home. When I have to stand here any longer I will probably get a sunburn. I kinda regret not putting on sunscreen today. It was in the middle of summer and not even standing in the shadows helped anymore. I finally heard footsteps inside after almost ten minutes. A very tired-looking Seungmin opened the door for me.
"Sorry, I overslept," I nodded understandingly and went inside. "And how was your date?" I chuckled. It was amazing, we went to an amusement park and he won a plushie for me. We were talking the entire time and he acted so differently than in school. The thing I haven't told Seungmin is that this wasn't our first date. To be correct it was our fourth. I don't know why I didn't tell him. It kind of felt like betraying him. I shrugged this thought off.
"Oh, yes it was perfect. Can we go to the park today?" I tried to change the topic as quickly as possible. I loved the park. It was in the middle of nature and it was just so calm. Seungmin nodded.
"Give me five minutes and I'll be ready." he ran to his room. These five minutes turned out to be half an hour. But I was used to it. My friend always needed way too much time to get ready. "We can go," he smiled innocently at me as I scoffed.
"Finally"
We walked through the park for almost an hour before sitting down on a bench, luckily there weren't many people besides us. We continued talking. We could talk for hours about everything and nothing and it still wouldn't get boring, because it was with Seungmin. I was surprised when Hyunjin suddenly appeared in my sight. I waved at him signaling him to come to us.
