As Kazuma continued his adventures, he met a young mage named Megumin who was obsessed with the power of Explosion magic, regarded as the most feared in all the land. Megumin had devoted her entire life to mastering this one spell, to the point where it had become an obsession. But as she watched Kazuma wield the power of Draupnir, she became amazed by the ring's incredible destructive potential when she saw him defeating a Manticore tossing an explosive copy of his spear to the creature's neck and prime it with a lightning.
Megumin made sure to stumble upon Kazuma at the Adventurer's guild. At first, Kazuma was wary of sharing the secret of Draupnir with Megumin. He knew that the power of his cursed ring was dangerous, and he didn't want to see his new friend succumb to its malevolent influence. But as he watched Megumin struggle to expand her magical repertoire, he realized that he might be able to help her. With Draupnir and his newfound Forge ability, He made her a a ring that could augment her magic powers so she could still stand after an explosion spell. Kazuma called the artifact "The Nibelungen".
