When the first life forms began to dream, something formed in the depths of space and time. Shaped by dreams and nightmares, the Primordial Rem-Realm. Inhabitet by all sorts of beings shaped by dreams. As all Origin Realms, this one also focused on eternal peace. However this changed when guests, driven by greed from other dimensions arrived. Although they were banished from the realm their greed caused permanent damage to the realm in the form of so called Empusa. Insect like ant demons with a thirst for blood. As their counterpart, part devil part sream or nightmare hybrids began to appear and hunted the demons, reestablishing the balance. However, what would happen if others, driven by greed would arrive in the realm? Well, let's find out. Shall we?
-probaply a Origin goddess or something

Somewhere in the depths of space and time.

I barely managed to jump into one of the escape pods of the spacecruiser and managed to send it into space. The controll unit activated itself and showed all the usual stuff.

Location: Somewhere at the border between reality and dream

Time: --Error--

"Is it broken or-" The pod began to shake violently and I got throw directly into the controll unit, destroying it and almost electrocuting me, causing my systems to shut down.

The smell of burnt rubber filled my nose and a sharp pain in my right leg was the only thing I could feel. I opened my eyes and saw almost nothing. Only a faint light was shining in front of me. Everything else was covered in black smoke. The pod was burning and I immediately crawled towards the light in the hope that it was the escape hatch. It opened after punching against it for what felt like an eternity, allowing me to crawl out.

There I was, laying on the ground, next to what almost begame my grave. My eyes began to addapt to the sun and I looked at the bright blue sky and only then I noticed that I couldn't see anything to my right and slowly moved my hand to my face, only to feel something metallic covered in something warm. I moved my hand in front of my still working eye and was shocked. My entire arm was covered in blood and my right leg was impaled by a sharp piece of metal. Pain rushed through my body and I clutched my fist in pain. I wanted to scream, call for help but nothing came out of my mouth. I don't know why but for some reason I thought it was a good idea to run a self scan. Now I wished I never did that. My eye widened in shock when I saw the result.

So that's how I die. At least better than being executed. I rested my head on the soft ground and looked at the sky, waiting for the inevitable but instead a was greeted by a gun to the face. They found me. Even thought I could barely hear anything I knew that they wouldn't make the same mistake twice and just put a bullet through my head. I closed my eyes and just accepted it. A gunshot could be heard but I didn't feel it hit me and opened my eyes. A white haired human in a dark blue coat and a katana stood in front of me and slowly sheated the sword. As soon as it was completely sheated every single soldier fell to the ground with cuts all over their body. The last thing I saw was the human turning around and walking towards me, then I blacked out.

Meanwhile, in a forest not too far from the crash site

A young black haired man in a black, sleeveless leather coat was sitting on a rock and read a book about poetry while a dark blue bird and a panther were fighting against a few Empusa. After a while he stood up and walked to the now seemingly dead demons and stabbed both of them with a silver cane, killing them. The bird and panther disappeared and tatoos formed on his body. He turned around and walked out of the forest while reading his book. After a while he noticed someone in a dark blue coat, carrying some sort of blood soaked cyborg and walked over to him. "Nelo, what exactly is that? And where did you find it in the first place?" The white haired guy Nelo gave his friend a 'not now' look and continued to walk to the nearby city, where he entered a building with a Demons Never Cry neon sign above the door.
