IT HAD BEEN A FEW WEEKS after ben parker's death, and in adeline's eyes peter was looking way better.

"okay, can you please break up with flash. look how he's making you feel. i haven't seen you wear sweatpants outside in 5 years." gwen said.

it was true, adeline was the queen of dressing up. she had to look presentable, you never knew what was gonna happen.

she didn't even bother to fix her hair, and it was sitting in a loose ponytail, no simple makeup, just terribly done concealer.

and something not like her at all.

"i can't gwen. he's all i got when it comes to relationships. i always go to him for everything, i just don't know if i can let go after 2 whole years of dating." adeline said.

"so your safe space?" gwen asked, and adeline nodded. "well who have you been going to for comfort for the last hm i don't know...10 years?"

"you.."

"and who gave you that incredibly smart scenario about your life with jenga blocks?"

"peter..."

"so who are your safe spaces."

"you and peter.."

gwen nodded then spoke, "all you and flash have been doing for the past month is argue, fight, and it's not good for you. you need to end things."

"can everyone just stop saying that to me, my mom, peter, you! it's my relationship, i'll do it when i want, which is never."

adeline walked away, ignoring the annoyingly large amount of looks watching her.

as adeline sat in history, you could see the annoying and mad look spread across her face.

she was trying not to talk to anyone, knowing she would snap at them and not even mean it.

someone had tapped her back, and adeline knew it was gwen probably trying to apologize.

gwen didn't do anything wrong, it was just at the wrong time and everything in adeline's mind made her snap.

her siblings had been driving her crazy, and so has the entire cheer team, and especially flash.

they haven't talked in a week, and honestly everyone was right, she should just break up with him.

it's not like adeline was scared to, she was scared of the response from her entire high school.

it was never anything else, and people would hate that, people in high school hate change.

the person tapped her again, and adeline whipped around quickly. "what." she whispered yelled.

turns out the person wasn't gwen but it was peter instead.

"oh..i'm-i'm sorry. i didn't mean to make you mad, i just saw you looked a bit agitated and wanted to make sure you were okay."

"i'm fine parker, i'm not agitated. sorry for snapping at you." adeline said.

"it's okay, and i'm not stupid you look extremely mad." peter said.

adeline sighed, she's only known him for about a month, and peter could already see through adeline.
