SAYING ADELINE WAS OKAY AFTER her break up with peter would be a lie.

any large gust of wind would make her turn and see if peter was swinging around as his alias anywhere.

or if she felt someone looking at her she would look up and see if peter was lurking somewhere, but no, it was always just some weird pervert.

the official news of her uncle, norman osborn had came out that day, but honestly she couldn't care less.

she knew her uncle was going to die soon, and it only hurt her because she knew her mom was going to be devastated.

loosing your husband, and your brother in the span of 2 weeks would definitely not be easy.

adeline wasn't fond of her uncle, he was a bit insane in his brain to adeline, and he was as a total ass to his son harry, who adeline had a great bond with.

until he was sent off to boarding school at 11.

and so, adeline was on her way to the osborn residence, where she knew harry would be lurking.

with norman dead, harry was now the rightful heir of oscorp and adeline was pretty sure harry would be there.

soon enough she was in front of the house , looking around a bit.

adeline hadn't been to this house in years, and it felt ancient

"who are you?" a man said as he stood next to the door.

"who am- adeline reigns, harry's younger cousin." the man said.

"sorry ms. reigns, come on inside. i'll go and get harry for you." the man said and then opening the door.

the man walked up the large steps then making a turn.

adeline scoffed, "who am you, he asked..who the heck are you damn it, to not know me...the heck." she muttered to herself.

after a few minutes, steps were heard and then a voice spoke. "adeline."

"hey harry, you're like a ancient statue. i haven't seen you in forever." adeline said as she walked up the steps to meet harry.

"you look...way different since the last time i saw you." harry said.

"well it's been eight years, a lot has happened." adeline said putting her hands in her jacket.

"what's up with you, besides your dad. i'm sorry by the way. i know how close you were." harry said.

"it's okay. i've graduated now, i'm trying to get into yale, i'm taking a gap year right now."

"just like i told you to do."

"of course harry, i looked up to you my whole life."

harry nodded, then said "i'm with some people, i'm kinda in a meeting."

adeline sighed, and then the door opened again and peter walked in.

"peter parker." harry said, walking down the steps.

"harry." peter said, "adeline."

adeline's breath hitched at hearing her name on peter's tongue after the longest time.

"it's like seeing a ghost." harry said. "hey harry, random." peter said.

"what, eight years. what's up." harry nervously said.

"i saw the news man, i heard about your dad and i wanted to come and-"

"just wanted to come and see you. check to see how you were doing." peter said walking up the stairs a bit to meet adeline.

"i'm uh- with some people. in a meeting." harry said.

"i'm sorry, i don't wanna intrude. i just - you were so there for me when my parents...we'll that's why i'm here for you." peter said.

adeline cleared her throat, "well i'm gonna go now.."

"yeah, me too." peter said.

they both turned away, a large space in between them too.

"you got your braces off peter, and addy..that bob is finally gone." harry said.

they both turned around, facing him. "now there's nothing to distract from that unibrow peter."

adeline in peter laughed, and harry starter to laugh.

"there he is..there he is." peter smiled.

"my bob? come on, do you blow dry your hair every morning still?" adeline said.

"yeah with the stupid comb!" peter added. "um..you know, one of my manservant's holds the hair dryer, but i work the comb okay?" harry said.

"oh my gosh." adeline shook her head while peter folded over laughing.

"so at least im not completely helpless." he continued.

"you're stupid." peter said, going up and hugging his best friend.

"you know, let's go out. just for some time." harry said.

"yeah, yeah i like that." peter said. adeline sighed, looking at her watch. "i'll head home, got some things to do." adeline lied.

"oh, that's alright. i'll probably see you around oscorp." harry said. adeline nodded before turned to the door, and peter just couldn't help feelings bad, knowing he was the reason she wasn't going.
