I finally watched Avatar 2 and I'm grieving over my baby. So I decided to hurt myself even more, enjoy.

She jumped off her Ilu, joining the others on the large rock that they had found themselves on. Everyone was crowded around what seemed to be a very injured Neteyam. Wasting no more time, Y/n ran to his side, kneeling down to take a better look at his wound. Her heart almost stopped working at the sight, a clean hole through his chest which meant he had been shot.

"What happened?" Y/n asked worriedly, trying her best to put pressure on the wound like Lo'ak.

"He was trying to hold them off, he, must've got shot." Lo'ak explained, almost slurring his words as tears were running down his face. It was taking a lot of strength for Y/n not to cry. Only the Great Mother would know how badly she wanted to.

"Why do you always have to be the hero?" She joked, leaning down to rest her forehead on his. Neteyam tried his hardest to form a smile on his lips, anything to let his love know that everything would be fine. That she would be fine.

Everyone knew what was coming, and there was nothing they could do. As much as it hurt, it was too late and now they had to sit here and let it happen. Y/n didn't want to look at him because of the state that he was in. She didn't want to cry. How could he be strong if she couldn't even be.

"Look at me, Y/n." He struggled to breath out, lifting up his hand to gently place it on her cheek. She immediately leaned into his touch, turning her head slightly when she was brave enough to face him again. "I see you."

That was the breaking point for her. The tears she had been holding back ran down her face. Why did this have to happen, why couldn't they have just been left in peace. Why did the sky people have to ruin everything. They were monsters, and she hated them, every single one of them.

"I, I see you." She replied, placing a kiss to his lips before he glanced over at his dad who had managed to not show the pain that he was in.

"I want to go home." He said looking back at Y/n while a small smile spread onto his face.

"Don't worry, you're going home." She whispered as the life inside him slowly faded until there was nothing left other than his limp body. All she could hear was the screams from his mother and Lo'ak's cries for Neteyam. That must've been the hardest Y/n had ever cried before.

At least he had passed with his family and loved ones surrounding him. All he hoped was that once he had gone, they would have won and everyone would be free once again, safe once again. That's all he ever wanted, even if he wasn't there with them.
