Chapter 6

'Its Kaede, Kaede Rukawa..'

"Hana chan~~ could you please set up the tableware please?.." Mr. Sakuragi said while preparing their food. As if the silence of his son confuse him, he call out again for his son.

"Hana, you okay?"

"H-huh? Im okay tou san..", Hanamichi snapped out if his thought

"Ill set the table now" he said while running to get the plates. His father just look at his sons' antics confusingly and just shakes his head.

Lately he noticed how his son were always on his thought after coming back this late from playing outside. He didn't know what happened outside and his son didn't tell him anything just with the sentence of, ' nothing tou san, just met an annoying kitsune..' with a grumbled voice so he didn't ask anymore.

Anyway he also prepare the food he make and set it also on the table and sat down. His son also sat down. They both say thanks for the food and began to dig.

Cough*cough* cough

Hanamichi looked at his father when he heard him cough hard.

"Neee tou san, I told you to just rest and let me do the work. Why are you still washing those dishes..!" Hanamichi grumble as he went towards his father to take him out of it.

"Maa~ maaa~ hana kun, its just a cough nothing else. Its not like its a heavy lifting.." his father said while shooing him from what his doing.

Hanamichi just sigh worriedly. He knows the situation his father was into, after all he was also there when the doctor told them of his fathers sickness. Although they didnt explain to him clearly the illnes of his dad. He knows that it is very grave because of what he heard. His dad's illness has been a major hit in the brain which is a major part of the human body.

Because of this he is hoping that his father don't tired himself and just rest. Although hanamichi doesn't express much infront of his father. It doesnt always mean that he is not worried and always on the look out.

Hanamichi sighed when he was in his bedroom. Thinking about the series slamdunk in his past life, he also noticed how the original hanamichi was always alone with no family. A teenager who is living alone. I always wonder how he still grow so happy despite that.

Right then, hanamichi fell asleep thinking of the possibilities that may going to happen to them.

Hanamichi was deep in his thought when a ball slam into his head snapping him out of it.

"Heyy, that hurts!!!" He yelled at someone while massaging his painful head.

"Then you should snap out of it. I thought you wanted to learn.." the dark haired boy, Rukawa, said while picking the ball.

Hanamichi look at him angrily and huff in annoyance. As if taking revenge, he went towards the other boy and tried to defend him to the best of his ability, but alas, with his short height and talent he wasn't able to defend rukawa and just watch as the other boy shoot the ball.

'Damn height!!' sakuragi thought
How can I be damn short! I thought Sakuragi genes is a giant! Did I make a mistake?!

Rukawa and Sakuragi play one on one for a couple of times before sakuragi gave up..

"E-enough!! Im so tired, I want to rest" sakuragi huff while his hand is on his knees breathing heavily.

Sakuragi slumped to the ground while looking at the clear blue sky and the moving clouds under it.
