the lightskin girl changed in to her shorts as kacey informed her on who would be also trying out for the volleyball team. "yeah and i think hailey gon be there too." kacey spoke in the brownskin girl.
"oh hailey's good." mariah pointed out.
kacey just shrugged, "i mean yeah but like you better sooo." mariah rolled her eyes because she knew even if she wasn't good or not kacey was gonna say she was better no matter what. but she couldn't ask for a better friend anyway.
"okay what you think? bun or no bun?" mariah asked for kacey's opinion on her hair since she didn't wanna get it in the way of the tryout. kacey then shook her head. "low ponytail."
mariah nodded and smiled big before doing exactly that. afterwards she began putting the whole bottle of lotion on her legs and arms because her biggest pet peeve was being or looking ashy.
both of the girls jumped when they heard the sound of a clipboard hit the locker door. "if your going to tryout you better come out now." the coach yelled in stern voice causing mariah and kacey to look at each other startled.
mariah grabbed her defile bag and shoved it in a empty locker before getting up from the bench and began to walk away with kacey right behind her,
kacey said her goodbyes as she went to sit on the bleachers where they would be looking at her tryout. all of notti, dd and even ddot was there to see her tryout, she loved her friends. besides ddot.
mariah walked into the straight single file line she saw a group of girls were standing in. a couple minutes went by and the coach was seemingly nice, even for the girls who didn't do it correctly the first she let them have a second try.
she could tell she was gonna love her coach.
the line of girls started to get smaller and smaller, next thing you knew mariah was second to going. hailey was before her and her serves were amazing, all smooth and she was quick on her feet. mariah watched in awe and hoping she could do way better like kacey had claimed.
