Soft sunlight slowly permeated the room, slowly finding its way through the curtains that moved gently with the cool, fresh air that followed the rain. Meerab stirred in her sleep, unaware of the way she lay nestled in Murtasim's arm. The two were in a deep slumber, encased in a cocoon of warmth and love.

The soft breeze of air brushed against their skin, caressing them like a gentle touch. Meerab stirred again, snuggling closer to Murtasim and burrowing her face into his chest. The warm air falling on her forehead broke her slumber and startled Meerab awake and her eyes flew open in wonder. She gasped, looking around wildly. It took her a few moments to realize where she was and that's when she registered the position they were in, pressed against him, her body moulded to his, her face looking up at him in surprise and her heart pounding in her chest.

She felt the sensation of his warm skin against hers, the warmth radiating from him and her legs entangled around him, her toes curling into the sheets. She was so close to him that she could hear his steady heartbeat and feel his breath against her forehead.

Meerab felt her heart skip a beat as she quickly tried to untangle her body from his. She was intimidated by the thought of him waking up and seeing them in this position. She carefully but quickly slid away from him, trying to make as little noise as possible. She then quietly slid off the bed and crept out of the room, her heart still pounding in her chest.

She was slowly tiptoeing towards the washroom when she jumped into her place hearing his gruff husky voice.

"Why are you walking away so silently?" She could feel the heat of his gaze on her back, even though she didn't turn around. His words hung in the air. She could feel her heart racing and her skin prickling at the thought of him seeing her like this. She fisted the ends of the shirt, stretching it to hide more of her exposed thighs. Her cheeks were on fire, and she wanted to disappear.

She whirled around and glared at him. Her voice was controlled.

"What are you looking at? Did you marry me to only gawk or something?" He only chuckled in response, or maybe she'd forgotten the state they were in last night.

She gestured to him with her chin and said, "Can you please ask someone to bring me my clothes? I need to change."

He was now attentive, his teasing and sleepy form forgotten. He hummed back in agreement and quickly got out of bed. Using his fingers he fixed his ruffled hair andsmoothed the crease on his shirt. He walked to her and said, "Let me send Maryam to get you something to wear. She'll be here soon."

With one last glance, he walked out of the room. Meerab got out of her reverie and tried to stop him but he was gone.

Meerab mentally face palmed, anticipating the teasing was soon to follow. She was a tease, and she knew that she would tease her mercilessly when she would see her in his shirt. Maryam entered and eyed her with a smirk, as if she knew what had happened. She playfully raised an eyebrow and gave her a knowing look, which made Meerab blush in embarrassment. Oh no she was going to get the wrong idea! She better think of some witty comebacks fast or she'll be the one getting teased!
