Look at me:

(TW: Sexual assault, crying)

*set after emerald secret*

Garroth had always been the more affectionate of his brothers, often being the one to initiate hugs, even when that meant literally chasing Zane down the street.

It was clear to anyone who could have seen him that when Garroth went clothes shopping in the city something had happened to him.

Garroth spent nearly an hour in the shower, rushing into the bathroom the second he got home and when he did finally leave the room he hurried straight to his bedroom not following his nightly routine in the slightest.

Zane accidentally stayed up all night watching My Little Horsies because Garroth hadn't barged into his room to say goodnight like he always did.

Zane would never admit it but he found himself rather used to Garroths odd habits and since moving in with his brother Zane'd made his routines around Garroths.

Garroth made no effort to wake Laurence up that next morning, he snuck downstairs made himself a cup of coffee and retreated to his room and locked the door behind him.

Garroth never locked his door he often forgot that he could.

Laurence slept in, making the brown-haired boy lucky that he didn't have work.

Laurence sat on his chair in the kitchen waiting for Garroth to appear and tell him about some strange dream that he had, but it was Zane that walked in.

"Morning" Zane mumbled, sounding far more dead than usual.

"God what happened to you, you sound horrible".

"Thanks...stayed up all night, Garroth didn't bug me to go to sleep" Zane admitted sounding very cranky.

"yeah, he didn't say goodnight to me either, or wake me up this morning demanding that I eat breakfast with him," Laurence thought out loud.

Zane and Laurence looked at each other as if somehow conveying plans before bolting up the stairs.

Laurence went to grab the door handle to Garroth's bedroom before pausing, being interrupted by Zane putting a hand on his shoulder.

"You know what maybe breaking into Garroth's room is an overreaction, he may have just fallen asleep early and is still asleep" Zane tried to reason.

A quaint barely audible whimper was heard from behind the door.

"Garroth?" Zane questioned, hearing a muffled sniffle in response.

"Garroth!" Laurence exclaimed trying to open the door, shocked to find it locked.

"Laurence open the door" Zane demanded as the sound of Garroth sobbing grew louder.

"It's locked, I-I can't open it" Laurence yelled back.

"Argh, move aside" Zane shouted, slamming his right shoulder into the door until it broke open.

"That is not as easy as Garroth makes it seem" Zane complained rubbing his saw shoulder.

Garroth was curled into himself now silently crying and shivering.

"H-Hey buddy, what's going on?" Laurence wondered.

"Garroth?" Zane whispered, gasping at the sight of his big brother's face the left side being a dark purpley brown.

"What happened!" Laurence raised his voice causing Garroth to flinch.
