(TW: memory loss, the belief that mental illness is fake, nightmares, mind control, stabbings and injury)

After the events of Starlight Zane moved in with his parents Ziana douting on his every move while Garte just shot him guilty looks and made small talk.

Zane's memories never really came back.

as time went on it became clearer that the celestial cannon event had affected not only his pre-existing memory but also his ability to retain information.

"ZuZu please go get dressed Garroth's coming over today",

Ziana's voice wavered as she tried to tidy up the room around her son.

"Mama my head hurts" Zane all but wined.

"Oh, okay hunny you get up and dressed and I'll go get you some painkillers".

Ziana helped Zane get up off the sofa as he found it hard to bend or stand after he'd been all slashed and cut up by a mind-controlled Garroth only six weeks before and one of the slashes had gotten infected.

Zane went to the bathroom to get changed as Zianna moved to the kitchen spotting her husband walking in through the front door.

"Where have you moved the painkillers?" Zianna asked as Garte had a habit of never putting things where they go after he used them.

"Third cupboard along the bottom shelf" Garte mumbled.

"Here are your painkillers ZuZu" Zianna sweetly smiled at Zane handing him the pills and a glass of water.

"When will Five be here?" asked Zane as he popped the pills in his mouth.

All the action in the room stopped,

Zane'd never forgotten Garroth's name before.

"Garroth'll be here soon, today's the day I'm going to ask about you going home".

"This is home" Zane insisted clearly at least a little confused.

"There ya go then the boy wants to stay" Garte huffed he didn't see why his wife wanted Zane to leave.

"Well I guess there's no point arguing about anything right now it's up to Garroth and moving back might not even be an option yet".

Zane moved out to give Garroth space,

Garroth's nightmares were worsened by Zane's presence, a constant reminder of what he'd done to him plus Ziana and Garte's new house was closer to Zane's therapist who specialised in trauma-based amnesia which was what they believed Zane had,

They couldn't exactly tell doctors why Zane's memory loss was really from.

The second that Garroth showed up it was clear that Garroth was doing much better than he'd done so last he visited.

The eldest Ro'meave brother had regained weight, he no longer looked as if he'd never had a night of sleep in his life, his hair was well kept again and the tips of his ears and tail were dyed a shade of baby blue.

"GarGar you look well" Ziana beamed hugging her son tightly.

"Thank you mummy the doctor prescribed me medication to help me sleep and to help with the...anxiety, so I've been feeling a lot better" Garroth hugged back,

eyeing his father waiting for the comment about how his new anxiety diagnosis was crap and that he shouldn't be taking medication for some made up bull, but the comments never came.

"Garroth my boy, good to see you" Garte did not even stand from his seat.

"Father" Garroth only nodded in acknowledgement.

"Seven" Zane hugged Garroth happy to see him.

Somber glances were shared yet Garroth hugged back holding Zane a bit closer.

"Hello, baby brother".

"You need to visit more baby, Zane's forgotten your name" Sighed Ziana,

Drying the plate Garroth'd just washed.

"Yes, I noticed that" Garroth snapped apologising quickly after.

"Laurence, Laurence is pushing for him to come home too, reckons it'll be good for the both of us but what...what if it makes things worse if the nightmares come back".

A part of Garroth knew that the nightmares weren't fended off by Zane's absence and that the more likely case was the medication.

"They're horrible mummy, I hurt him, I attacked him with a knife, and I was going to kill him as he pleaded for me to remember him" A tear rolled down Garroth's face.

"You and your brothers will always have a home here baby with us but Zane's forgetting you,

He needs to go home, he's forgiven you for all that nasty starlight stuff, you need to forgive yourself".

"He laid there begging for me to remember him, he wasn't even trying to get me to stop hurting him just to remember him" Garroth sobbed no longer doing the dishes,

Ziana hugged him heartbroken that her sons were struggling so much.

"He understands more than you're giving him credit for he's been through it too,

Back at the lodge, he knows what it's like to not be in control of your actions even if he doesn't remember it all properly he knows".

Zianna ended the hug placing her hands on the sides of his face, looking at her son lovingly

"He needs to go home, to see his friends, he needs his big brother".

Garroth cried into his mother's chest "Okay".

The physical act of moving Zane back into his, Garroth and Laurence's house was easy three duffle bags and a two-hour car drive easy but Zane was confused,

Garroth thanked Irean Ziana'd decided to go down with them and stay a few days,

Zane asked every five to ten minutes what they were doing and where they were going.

"Seven where are we going?" Zane wondered interrupting Ziana and Garroth's conversation about Garroth getting his ears and tail dyed.

"Home, baby brother, we're going home".
