"O-oh yes, of course!" I stutter, feeling embarrassed for being so startled.
"Very well. Let's go over to your counselor's office then. Who is your counselor?"
"Ah..." I pull out my phone to check. "Mrs. Marie."
"Mrs. Marie? Her office is pretty close to here. I know where it is, so you can just follow me."
"Alright, thank you..."
As we walk, we settle into a sort of comfortable silence. When we walk into Mrs. Marie's office, there's already a student talking to her.
I exhale a bit, and Mr. Albedo smiles. "Mrs. Marie is usually pretty busy. We got lucky that there's only one person ahead of us."
"O-oh, yeah."
"Mr. Albedo? What a surprise to see you here." Mrs. Marie looks over at us, pushing up her glasses.
"Yes, I just wanted to switch Y/n here to one of my more advanced classes."
"Ooh, another advanced student?"
"Mhm."
"Alright, and what's your last name, Y/n?"
"L/n."
"Okay... so I'll be switching her from...?"
"From Painting 101 to my most advanced class." Mr. Albedo replies.
"So, I will have to switch around some of your classes... so instead of having digital drawing first, you'll have it first thing in the morning, and advanced art for 6th period. Is that alright with you?"
There's a small pause before I realize she's speaking to me. "O-oh, yeah, that's fine."
"Okay that's done then. Have a nice day."
"Thank you." Mr. Albedo replies.
"I look forward to having you in my advanced art class. I hope I'll be able to help you create some beautiful artworks."
I blush. "Y-yeah, thank you."
He smiles and begins walking back to his class. I really appreciate him for not saying things such as "Have a good day" or "Good morning". I really don't understand the meaning of such formalities, they just make me feel awkward.
I find myself smiling, for whatever reason. Looks like my first day of school wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.
