I sit down in front of the canvas and pull out my pencil. I decide to start sketching with nothing particular in mind. My mind drifts to the sprawling mountains back in the countryside in France. Atop the mountains perch hazy little clouds - I draw them in with swoops of my pencil. I always thought the mountains in France were beautiful - hazy and almost dream-like. Below the mountains are cows, fenced in by a ragged, broken-down fence. It reminds me of one of the farms we'd pass by when diving to my aunt's house. I'd always fall asleep while we were driving, so I don't exactly remember too much.

As soon as I begin cleaning up the sketch, the bell rings, bringing me out of my drawing trance.

"It's beautiful", I hear a voice murmur behind me, and jump a bit. I turn around and see Mr. Albedo. "Thank you... it's not coming out exactly how I envisioned it, though..." I mumble a bit and trail off.
"That's completely alright," he replies. "It's very hard sometimes to put your ideas on paper. But that's the beauty of art - even if you don't exactly get what you were hoping for, the final product will still be beautiful."
I smile. "Thank you, that really means a lot to me." I remember that class is over, and startle a bit. "O-oh, I'm sorry, am I taking up your time? I can leave now..."
He shakes his head kindly. "No, that's not necessary. You can stay as long as you want - that's what many of my students do."
"O-oh... we'll, still, I wouldn't want to take up too much of your time..." I mumble.
"Nonsense," he replies. I'd enjoy to have you here - you're a wonderful artist that I wish to know more about."
I flush, and I'm sure Mr. Albedo can see it on my face. "Th-thank you, but I'm really not as special as you might think I am..."
He shakes his head again. "I know potential when I see it, y/n. Never underestimate yourself."
I give him an embarrassed smile. "Thank you, th-that means a lot to me..."
"Of course," he smiles. "Will you be heading home now or would you like to stay a bit?"
"I-I think I'll be heading home now..." I stutter, feeling suddenly flustered.
"Alright. I'll see you tomorrow then, y/n."
