A "Normal" day for the inhabitants of the Multiverse

A Visit to the Lab

"Hello...Alphys?" A voice echoed through a messy dark lab. Following the voice was a human girl walking quietly looking for the royal scientist.

Emerald pov: Where is Alphys? She called earlier about needing help with something, I think she said some device she was working on. I gladly accepted of course. With my brother mostly attending school its been...a bit boring. I'm one for doing nothing and sleeping but even i got tired of it. And maybe I need a break from Papyrus spaghetti. Hehe, my brother would be surprised if he heard that. "O-oh you're here a-already." Alphys came out from behind a few boxes. "Yeah. Did you need my help with something?" "y-yes I-" suddenly a banging noise was heard underneath. What was that?

Alphys pov: Oh-h-h i forgot to tell them. "I-I"ll b-be back" I q-quickly left to t-the lab. The amalgamates were n-nearby. "Y-you have to be q-quiet" "Alphs is everything okay?" They started to get worried, "d-dont worry shes h-here to help m-me" I said. I went to a room and p-prepared their food. "I-i'll b-be done in a minute" i went back upstairs, I hope s-she didn't leave. "I'm so-sorry" "I don't mind" t-thats good. "So I called you here for help. M-Mettaton is currently busy. A-and they usually h-help me with passing t-tools" We walked to another part of the lab w-where I w-was working on new m-microwaves. "So you're working on a new microwave?" Emerald asked "yes, i tried to i-improve its capabilities b-but its failed" I looked toward the board t-that was full of c-calculations. There h-has to be something w-wrong? M-Maybe a wrong calculation o-or something I'm forgetting. "The six should be a negative" "W-what?!" I looked at the board, what it that s-simple mistake? "O-oh I-I-I d-didn't k-k-know" how embarrassing. Im s-suppose to be the r-royal scientist. " Are you okay?"

Emerald pov: Shoot. Alphys seemed to get embarrassed or something. She turned red and stumbled more with her words than usual. But she seemed to calm down slowly."How d-did you figure it out?" "I used to be really good in math" Math was one of my favorite subjects next to literature, science, and art. "Y-your still g-good" I gave a small thank you. It was nice of her to say that. "W-well with t-that solved. I c-can probably b-build it now" "oh ok..." "....." ....Awkward silence then. Before I could say anything she beat me to it. "I-If you don't h-have anything to do we could...watch anime" I've heard of anime but i've actually never really seen one. I have always watched more horror movies to the point Ive probably seen all of them (and maybe some soap operas as well). "Sure i've never actually watched an anime before" Alpjs seemed surprised but also happy about this. "I have few different types of anime. I-f we hurry we can watch m-most of them. Alphys prepared the tv with pillows, snacks, and brought many cds. I'm guessing it was her anime collection. While I walked toward the tv I heard a small whimper. Weird, I thought me and Alphys were the only ones here. I heard another softer whimper. It came from downstairs. I looked at the bottom of the stairs staring down and examining. There was something at the bottom. Was that a stick? It looked like it? No, no no I've seen this scenario too many times. The character gets outsmarted by curiosity and they unfortunately meet their demise....but it is the underground and no one has been really mean or trying to kill me. Except maybe that dumb walking salad. I heard another whimper............I'm such an idiot for this. I went downstairs and grabbed the stick while looking around. There was no one, great, now I'll be-I then felt someone push me down the floor. A big white blob was on me! "Alphys! ALPHYS!" I don't think she heard me. The white blob was starting to crush me. "H-hey buddy w-why don't you g-get off me. A-at least let m-me breathe." I then felt I could freely breathe, as he got off of me. He listened? He looked happy and was barking, or at least sounded like barks or something. Looking at him more, he seemed actually way bigger than I thought. He then moved his head. Ohhh, he wanted his toy back. "Oh sorry here you go" I set it down on the floor near him. But all he did was look at me. Or face me? He doesn't exactly have a face though. And I was covered in his weird white goop, oh great, but at least he's happy. This sort of reminds me of the time I met Ink. "O-oh y-your h-h-here" she then looked shocked towards me and the goopy dog. "Hey Alphys, umm do you know if this is easy to take off?" "I-I-I-" "Hey why don't we just head upstairs and watch those anime you said. Okay" Hopefully that would help her but before I could take a step the goopy dog was on top of me again. Really. "Phfft" well at least she enjoying this. "Come on! Can you please get off of me" but the goopy dog didn't listen. He just started whimpering. "H-he might have a g-gotten attached. W-why don't we-watch down here instead" "Well it doesn't seem i have an option. By the way, does he have a name?" "E-endogeny"Endogeny seemed happy, he let me get up and left barking or making sounds. "Y-you w-want to watch"

No one pov: With hours passing the room became filled with snacks and empty cups of instant ramen. While the amalgamates, Emerald, Dr. Alphys watched. Waiting as the protagonist would do their super ultimate moon blast to save the world from the dark forces.
