Authors Note: Sorry for the delay. It was a busy week! Hubby took me on an overnight road trip to see Born to Fly and I came home to the final MDZS book. So I was binge reading.
Chen Yu is pacing in Gu Wei's office. Of course forensics found more than a dozen prints in the room. Doctors, nurses, janitors, and CNA's all left prints behind. Even Tang's prints were discovered, but could be explained because he took Mrs. Choi for her cardiac exam. He runs a frustrated hand through his hair and plops down onto the sofa.
"Yu'er, you're going to stop him." Gu Wei says, crossing to him and sitting on his lap. "He's going to get cocky and make a mistake and you'll get him. I know you will."
"Thanks baobei." Chen Yu sighs and snuggles into his favorite spot on his husband's neck. "This is really all I need to get my head straight again." He hears Gu Wei chuckle softly and he gives him a curious look.
"Which head Yu'er?" Gu Wei teases grinning. "I can feel the lower one poking my butt." He feels Chen Yu nip his throat and he laughs, jolting in surprise as Chen Yu's cell rings.
"Ugh, hold on baobei." Chen Yu says, pulling out the cell and seeing it's Lin calling. "Lin, tell me you got a print." He begs, biting his lip.
"I'm sorry Detective." Lin heaves a heavy sigh. "The vial was wiped clean. No prints at all. Your perp, he knows what he's doing."
"It's alright. He's bound to make a mistake." Chen Yu grins at Gu Wei. "And I'll be there to catch him. Thanks Lin."
"No problem Detective. I have faith you'll nab him before long." Lin says, before ending the call.
"So, no prints?" Gu Wei asks pouting.
"Wiped clean. Hmm, I need more cuddles." Chen Yu says, frowning up at his husband.
"I'll give you all need lao gong." Gu Wei says, holding him close. "What's next?"
"I could bring him in for questioning, but I don't think he will get anxious over that." Chen Yu kisses Gu Wei's neck several times. "I have no evidence and he knows it. He already knows I'm on to him. I know all about the privacy laws and doctor patient confidentiality." He sucks gently on Gu Wei's neck, groaning as he pulls himself back. "Could the doctor talk to me about Tang and not the old woman's health?" He pecks at Gu Wei's lips.
"Mmm, I think that would fall outside the laws. Hah, you can try." Gu Wei's head falls back, Chen Yu licking at his throat and unbuttoning several of his buttons. "It depends on the doctor. They may say that it falls under the privacy laws, but it really doesn't. Mm, Yu'er." He whimpers, Chen Yu's teeth nipping at his nipple. "Don't you have, things to do?"
"Mn, you." Chen Yu says smiling at him. He groans again, as Gu Wei laughs and pushes him back.
"Later. I promise." Gu Wei says, standing and rebuttoning his shirt. He licks his lips, watching Chen Yu run a hand through his hair. "I promise Yu'er. Interview who you need to interview and write up your reports at home. I'll fix dinner and then, maybe we can each have a serving of dessert." He winks, chuckling at Chen Yu's wiggling figure. "The sooner you get to work, the sooner we get to dessert." He winks, sitting behind his desk and grabbing a book. "I'll be here when you're finished." He smiles and Chen Yu hurries for the door, pausing to grin and blow him a kiss before heading out into the hospital. "Mmm, I love that man so much. Ugh." He groans, his hardened shaft straining against his slacks.
* * *Chen Yu has spoken with several hospital staff and Tang's supervisor. Mrs. Choi wasn't scheduled for any tests today and Tang had no reason to be in her room. A few people said they saw him in the hall near her room, but no one saw him enter or exit. Chen Yu has requested the surveillance video for that hall, but Dr. Pei says it will take time for him to get it. Legal loopholes about patient privacy will take a day or more to circumvent.
