~ Ellie's point of view ~

I was content with my life until it had all came crashing down. Tommy showed up at Dina and I's home talking shit about me 'not caring anymore' about his death. I was furious, that night I couldn't sleep. I kept seeing him die over and over again.

I was so close to getting Abby, I had to go back. I needed to find her. I took the map coordinations Tommy had given us. I made my way downstairs after throwing on my clothes, I was ready to go and kill her, finalize this.

"Ellie?" I cringed hearing my name this early in the morning, I was high off adrenaline, all my exhaustion wept away when I knew what I had to do.

I turned around looking at Dina, she was rubbing her eyes staring down at me while I was placing my gun into my bag.

"I think this is the longest he's slept..."

"yeah" I exclaimed.

"c'mon back to bed, we'll talk about this in the morning."

"I have to finish this Dina..."

She turned around, her face turning into a sour look.

"Ellie....if you go we are done, I'm not just going to sit around waiting for you wondering if you're dead or not!"

"well I'm not planning on dying"

"Ellie...."

"I love you"

"Prove it! ....stay"

"I can't" I said picking up my bag walking out the front door refusing to turn back. I'm coming for you Abby."

~ A few weeks later ~

"2425 Constance...hmm" I approached the house gripping the map until my knuckles turned white. I swallowed hard looking at the odd symbol drawn on some of these houses. The Santa Barbara weather was far different from the one in Wyoming. It was extremely hot here, I ended up shedding layers as weeks went on.

I went inside searching for any supplies, Nothing much other than a few bottles of alcohol. I say a staircase, descending down it while holding my breath. I bit the inside of my mouth, the copper taste filling my mouth. I didn't see much, there were sleeping bags and a few empty cans of food. I walked over to a microphone.

"Catalina island"

Bingo.

I made my way slowly to the train tracks, taking out a couple infected. I had to jump down from a tall hill. I always got a little nervous in case I sprained something but usually Joel had ensured I'd be fine.

I jumped down pulling in the infected from behind, his warm neck resting against mine. I pulled out my knife stabbing it into his neck, dragging the sharp piece until blood drawn. I did the same to the other. I sighed in relief once I had seen no more of those monsters.

I made my way down until I felt something wrap around my ankle. A fucking trap. I was lifted up into the air, I swung up punting against a tree. The small, sharp branch digging into my skin then pulling away. I swayed until I lost consciousness, blood spilling onto the ground below me. I could feel my sweat splattered across my body like a sticky sap. I felt gross but I needed to find her.

"Abby...I found you"

"huh?" My eyes focused once again seeing two men approach me. A clicker nearby me, had also been strung up like some puppet. I felt the cold blood run down my hot body giving me a sense of relief. "untie her" the shorter, scrawny man cut me down. I dropped to the ground hard, my body slamming against the dirt and sand.
