Wednesday pov:
"mama?"y/n calls out walking towards me. "yes?" "do i have a family?" i carried her
"of course you do. You have me, mommy-"she cuts me off by putting her hands on my mouth
"i meant aunts. Earlier in class teacher assigned us to make a family tree with our aunts and uncles. And if we don't have atleast one we can't pass them"our 8 year old daughter said sadly. I place y/n on the table "give me a sec to call mommy. Stay there you might fall" i said and went to the phone calling enid.
"heyyyy enid speaking. Who's this?"i heard my girlfriends voice on the other line
"it's Wednesday. And since y/n will turn 9 tomorrow let's introduce her to the others. It's their right to know about the kid. It's been 9 years of us hiding"i said lowly making sure y/n wouldn't hear
"weds.......they're mad at us, that was just from you dating me. Let alone if they find out about y/n. Our daughter, your blood" she said worriedly
"y/n's getting older. She can pronounce the 'r' right. If she finds out about this she'll eventually hate us too. It's time to face them, they're still your friends enid. Not just classmates or conflicts. Friends"i tell her
"i guess you're right......I'll send them a message"enid says then i heard someone from the background "enid back to work, break time's over"
I heard her sigh "i gotta go. I love you"she says and hung up
I walk to y/n and pick her up "tomorrow, you're gonna meet your aunts and uncles"i tell her "yeyyy!!!"she cheers and kisses my cheek. "thank you mama"she whispers and rest her chin on my shoulder
(next day)
I walk to enid "where are they? You said they'll come by now"i ask "i.........i lied. They didn't respond to me i just don't want to disa-"enid was cut off when we heard y/n say "so no one will come for my birthday?" 'shit' i thought. I bent down to y/n "no sweetie they will co-" before i could even say anything y/n ran to her room
I look at enid "are you sure they never repond?"she nods i sigh and hug her. "everything is going to be ok. We'll figure things out"i comfort her. "i hope so......i broke our daughter's heart"she says
"you talk to her. I'll fix some stuff here"i tell enid to which she nod to she went to y/n's room and i start cleaning up. I then heard a knock i went o the door to find them. Bianca, yoko, divina, ajax, xavier,our friends, even tyler. "now you show up at this time?"i ask coldly recalling the disappointment in my daughters voice
"we still came didn't we?"bianca said with sarcasm "sorry to tell you. But party's over, y/n is in her room with enid. She's dissapointed you didn't came"i tell them "it's not our fault you live in a goddamn forest where there is no trail"xavier said i sigh. Wait in the living room. I'll call them"i tell the group and went to y/n and enid.
"hey"i hear sniffles from y/n enid looked at me in guilt "let's go down. Someone wants to see you"i tell y/n she cam to me and lift her arms "what will you say?"i ask "please carry me mama"i nod and carried her. My other hand holding enid's we went down as the group looks at us. I place y/n down as she looks at the unfamiliar faces infront of her.
"they're your aunts, and uncles"i told y/n as she holds onto my hand "they won't hurt you, get to know them"i whisper to y/n "but I'm scared"she whispers back "doesn't she know we can hear he-"enid nudges ajax "ow!! ok ok" y/n giggles at the sight
The night went on with laughters and giggles
