"I've got it! We'll call them HATs!" El shouted, nobody knowing what she was talking about. Elynn bounced her head gently to the now human Gaston, and it was assumed that she had tried to name the newfound creatures.
Everyone was dead silent. Vivienne had just finished explaining the unbelievable and this was the very first comment made.
Valentina fed into El's idea. "Hats?" El nodded. "What would that even stand for?"
"Humans To Animals!" She ecstatically responded.
"That's HTAs you dumb fuck, and we're not calling them that." Azrael countered, making Elynn pout.
"Can we skip to the part where we talk about the core of the conversation? The shard?" Sofie exasperatedly let out. It was kind of unbelievable that El thought this to be the perfect time for such a conversation.
Valentina nodded, "Right. So the shard glows whenever it's near glass? And it shows us visions?"
"Yeah. Once you get a vision, the shard stops glowing and you can't replay the vision." Vivienne confirmed to the group, but also to herself.
"What if you like.. forget?" Azrael brought up.
Sofie shrugged, "Better ask the shard to repeat itself." Valentina frowned. "Are we really the only ones finding these crystals?"
Azrael nodded to Valentina. "I don't even think there are other people in this city. Like, none of our families are home, right?" The others, namely Vivienne and Valentina, avoided eye contact and nodded, clearly saddened by the sudden loss of their families and other friends.
"So what's with that? Why are we the only ones here?" Sofie shook her head.
"I don't know. We'll probably figure it out soon, but back to the Sirynum Stones." El rolled her eyes.
"We don't care about the crystals," Sofie's expression dropped slightly "We care about where our parents are, and why our animals are humans." El brought up a good point of course. It was a very fair argument, Sofie could admit that. Though she desperately wanted to find out exactly what she saw when she observed the vision through her eyeglasses.
She hadn't thought of it much until now but..
..She really hoped that her parents were okay.

Arielle made it to the building Vesper was on, and Vesper looked away from the robot. She instead focused on what was below them.
