Tonarlet: Tough Love

Gaining Trust

One day, Tony was running around the fields of Green Hill Zone. While running, he spotted his friends next to a tree. Spotting Scarlet amongst them, he went towards the group.

"So you don't know why it keeps happening?" Scarlet asked. "No, not really," Allison replied, "I thought you might have an idea." As they talked, Tony got closer to making it towards the tree.

Ziggy hung from the tree upside down, right next to Scarlet and the others. "Well, did you try asking Alex or Jackson what is causing it-"

Before she could finish, Tony Cylooped around the tree, causing all the fruit to fall to the ground, as well as Ziggy. Lavender winced. "That hurt?" she asked. "Apparently you speak forehead..." Ziggy uttered.

Tony picked up an apple and began to chow down on it, while Allison helped Ziggy up. "That's why I told you not to hang from trees." Scarlet told her. "Can't stop me!" Ziggy said. Scarlet was unamused.

"Oh, hi Tony!" Lavender greeted, just realizing he was here. "Hey Lav." Tony said, hugging his friend. Lavender hugged back before letting go.

"Hi Scarlet!" Tony greeted, hugging the red hedgehog. Scarlet was shocked and confused by the hug. "Why did you hug me...?" Scarlet asked, a little uncomfortable. "Because you're my friend, of course." Tony replied, smiling.

Scarlet was a bit silent. "Is something wrong?" Tony asked, "You're not too talkative today."

"I think she just doesn't feel like talking today." Ziggy said. "Since when do you speak for me?" Scarlet asked, a bit mad at her.

"What?!" Ziggy said, "I'm just saying." She then left. Scarlet was about to leave, but remembered she was still in Tony's arms, and hadn't bothered to get free for a while.

"Um, can you let me go?" Scarlet asked, budging from Tony's hold. "Oh, sorry." Tony let go of Scarlet, and she hurried back home to her sisters.

However when Scarlet got home, Sara and Sora weren't home. "Where are they?!" she said to herself. She started to stress as she rushed outside.

After a few minutes of looking, Scarlet realized they were missing. Someone or something had taken them. "How could I have been so careless?!" she yelled, punching a tree in frustration.

She fell to her knees and began to sob. Unbeknownst to her, Tony had heard her cries and noticed her mood. He looked inside the house and noticed Sara and Sora were nowhere to be found.

"Eggman." Tony uttered before quickly leaving.

Inside Eggman's Headquarters, the evil doctor was typing commands inside the computer, preparing new project instructions. "Time to activate Project Metal-Sky and Project Circuit-Score." Eggman told himself, getting the machine ready.

"LET US OUT!!" Sara yelled, kicking at the glass, while Sora whimpered in fear. "Oh ho ho ho!" he chuckled. "Time for roboticization!"

Before Eggman could activate the machine, the titanium door burst open, and from the smoke, a very angry Tony emerged. "Tony!" Sora called. "Thank goodness..." Sara sighed in relief.

"Let them go, Eggman." Tony angrily demanded, his fist clenching as hard as possible. "I won't ask again." Eggman laughed. "Pitiful." he said. "I'll make this quick!"

Eggman activated a turret which fired a missile towards the red hedgehog. "Nighty-night, red rat!" Eggman taunted, celebrating his victory. But, the missile didn't explode.

Eggman was shocked to find Tony had simply grabbed the missile with his bare hand, while his body was flashing with a red aura, channeling his inner rage, his veins bulging with anger.

"Hmmm..." Tony said sarcastically, "I think this belongs to you." as he threw the missile back at him, hitting the machine, as well as breaking the glass tubes Sara and Sora were trapped in.

"No! You little nuisance!" Eggman yelled, preparing a retreat. "This isn't over! I'll be back!"

With Scarlet, Roger and Jackson were attempting to try and calm her down. "I'm sure we'll find them." Roger told her. Jackson put a hand on her shoulder. "He's right, they'll be okay," he said. "They're strong girls. If anything, they'll fight back if they need to."

Roger noticed Tony outside standing with two others. "Um, Scarlet?" Roger said. "Tony's here, and he's with someone. Scarlet sighed and went outside, and her eyes widened in surprise to see Sara and Sora again. "How did you...?" Roger began to ask.

"I have my ways." Tony told him. "Ways that I'm not exactly proud of, but it worked nonetheless."

Scarlet ran over and hugged her sisters tightly. "Thank god you two are okay!" she said, holding onto them tightly. "Tony, you have my respect." Roger told him. Tony nodded, and looked at the triplets hug.

After their hug, Scarlet went over to Tony. Before he could say anything to her, she hugged him tightly. "Thank you so much..." she told him. "Well, I didn't like seeing you cry, so I did what I had to do." he told her. Scarlet tightened the hug, then looked at him.

"I promise, I'll always look out for you, as well as your sisters." Tony told her, smiling. Scarlet wiped her tears away. "Thank you so much, Tony." Scarlet said, before letting go and leaving back to her home, before looking back at Tony with a smile.
