IMAGINE . . . .
It was an annual stars hollow event and you were enjoying yourself, dancing on the dance floor and whatnot. Then you caught the eyes of a very, very infamous boy.

You were dancing with rory on the dance floor for the marathon while lorelai went to go fix her heel since it broke. You two were trying to help each other stay awake and not fall asleep because it was a 24 hour marathon. As you two continued to move around, you caught the eye of the one and only Jess Mariano.
He sat up on the bleachers and leaned forward a bit, gazing at you while shane didn't notice at all. However, he did catch the eyes of somebody. Once shane left to go to the bathroom, Dean made his way over to Jess.
"Don't you have somewhere else to be other than stare at y/n?" Dean's arm were crossed over his chest.
Jess looked up at him, "No, not really. Besides, I think y/n is a pretty good view actually. Don't you?"
"You got your own girl to worry about, so don't worry about her." Dean defended you, even though in the back of your head you were thinking it wasn't needed.
Jess stood up, getting in dean's face, "What about rory, huh? Don't ever see you, all big and bad for her like this."
"My relationship with Rory is none of your business." Dean's voice rose a bit.
Jess just scoffed, "What relationship? The way you defend y/n all the time, it seems more you're their boyfriend than Rory's."
Eyes were on the two as they continued to bicker. Before they could even start pummeling each other, you had called out for Dean. He so graciously made his way over and you gave him lorelai's place, before you ran off the dance floor to Jess.
Just before you could say anything, shane had came back from the bathroom. She stood next to Jess as he put his arm around her, staring at you. After a brief moment, the two began their way out the building and leaving you with a major sigh escaping your lips.
You had no idea what was going on with Jess but it was clear he felt the same way you did. He was just really stubborn, however.
