Classroom of the Elite: One shots

A Small Disadvantage

"Ayanokouji! You're surrounded! Just surrender!"

It seems that I am in quite the predicament.

The entrance to my left is covered by 3 people, while the one on my right is guarded by 5 people.

Not only that, my weapon has no more shots left, I only have my sidearm which isn't as accurate or as fast as the other.

I could try going out there to take their weapons, but they will just shoot me immediately.

So what I should do is-

"Alright, I'm coming out, don't shoot."

I walk out my hands in the air, I'm still holding my weapons on my right hand.

"Hey! Drop it!"

All of them aim at me, waiting for me to make a move. "Alright, just don't shoot." I slowly put my weapon down and kick it towards them.

"Good, that wasn't so difficult right?" The one who said that then crouches to pick up my weapon, perfect.

"Gotcha." I immediately quick draw all 3 of them, covering them in red before they can even react.

"Shit! He tricked them! Go after him!"

The group of 5 that was guarding the second entrance heard the shots and start running towards me, I quickly grab 2 weapons from the defeated and start shooting aimlessly.

"Get behind cover!" The group weren't as dumb as they look, they use the terrain around them to their advantage and take cover, I do the same.

"Just give up! It's 5 of us against 1 of you!"

Though most of them were in cover, I saw a leg sticking out, so I immediately send shots. Results, success.

"Damn it! Everyone push!"

Big mistake

All of them start advancing towards me, in which I respond by dual wielding both weapons that I stole from the previous owners, and start shooting at their direction. I was only able to hit 2 of them, 2 more left to go.

"God damn it! I thought you weren't anyone special!"

Both of them start shooting at me, I can hear their shots piercing the air around me, I dive behind the nearest wall, which lead to a building.

"He went in there! Follow him!"

As soon as the first one entered, he was met by a barrage of shots, he falls to the floor, covered in red. One more to go.

*Thud*

I got careless, I immediately turn around and focus my sidearm onto the surprise attacker, who is also pointing his sidearm at me.

"You were great Kiyotaka, unfortunately, this is where it ends."

We are at a standoff, any sudden movements leads to the end of the other's career.

"You weren't too bad yourself, but I think you misunderstand your situation."

He looks at me with confusion. "Oh? And what have I misunderstood?"

I stare deep into his eyes, though he tries to keep his composure, his eyes let out a subtle tremble.

"I'm faster." I crouch and shoot him quickly, his shot went through where my head was at a second ago. He collapses to the ground.

"... I win."

He then suddenly gets up, with a grin on his face. "Man, I didn't know you were that good at paintball Kiyotaka!"

"It's not that big of a deal Yosuke."

Everyone that I had shot at is now in the building, all of them are talking excitedly.

"Ayanokouji! That was so cool!"

"How did you shoot all 3 of us that fast? I didn't even see you pull out your sidearm!"

Their praise is interrupted by a voice ringing throughout the field. "The winner of the class B paintball free-for-all is Ayanokouji Kiyotaka! Ayanokouji will be rewarded the 500,000 point prize!"

"Man, to think that the school would make an exam like this, you did great!"

"We all really believed that we could all team up on you, I still can't believe that you took out 10 people at the beginning of the match!"

"We didn't stand a chance. Damn!"

At first I wanted to be eliminated from the exam, but the 500,000 point prize was too good to give up, but it was mostly because Horikita was nagging me to not hold back. I would usually refuse her no matter what, but I at least got something out of it.

"I feel exhausted, let's get out of here."

"Yeah! Let's all celebrate your victory with a party!"

"Wait, who's going to be paying?"

All of them turn their heads towards me. "Well, you do have 500,000 points now right?"

Yeah, no way, I am not going to spend my points immediately after getting them.

"Sure, let's go."

God damn it.
