In a very far away kingdom on the North, in a village called Hyogo, there was a belief or more likely a legend.

This legend says that to be able to survive in this place, human offerings have to be done every year. One sacrifice annually.

Offers, as they refer to the teenage members of the village, play the crucial role in the rituals of the elders and the leaders.

The Council, composed of the eldest member of the town, and several high class family heads, and the town's chief and leader, decide the offer every year.

They chose of course young men and women who were at their prime, beautiful, young, strong, and fresh. They will never choose any sons or daughters of a rich family, instead they convene on sending an unfortunate poor class maiden or lad.

This year is no different.

When the Full Moon raised that night, as sign of the new celestial year, the search or rather discussion for the Offer began.

The big town clock struck 12, and the shiver began to crawl on every teenage boy and girl in the village.

Someone's son, daughter, friend, boyfriend, girlfriend, young and full of life, would be sent into the raging volcano at the end of the town to be an offer for another peaceful year.

This has been the tradition-- an agreement since the beginning. A life for an annual peace. It was unreasonable yet everyone was afraid to go against it.

Parents just take it in, accepting the fact that one day, their children will be an offer for the sake of a sick of a town.

It is of great luck to reach twenty but wasn't chosen, cause the choices only range from thirteen to nineteen.

Today, the first day of the year, everyone was gathered in the town square. The unnerving, unjustified, and biased announcement was coming near.

Everyone on there was either hugging their sons, daughters, grandchildren, siblings, crying, pleading, and some downhearted once again to witness this unacceptable tradition. The scene was indeed heartbreaking.

The moment the eldest priest stood on the wooden stage created for this particular event, silence filled the vicinity. The sky turned darker as he cleared his throat, getting ready to speak the final decision.

"Atsumu Miya" he loudly announced and all eyes darted to the blonde being hugged by his twin brother
